Dodgers' Gavin Lux: Not in Thursday's lineup Rotowire 29 mins ago Lux is absent from the lineup Thursday in Game 4 of the NLCS versus the Mets, Mike DiGiovanna of the Los Angeles Times reports.
It's southpaw Jose Quintana on the bump for the Mets, so the left-handed-hitting Lux will begin the contest on the bench. Chris Taylor is occupying second base and batting ninth for the Dodgers.
Dodgers' Freddie Freeman: Absent from Game 4 lineup Rotowire 31 mins ago Freeman (ankle) is not in the lineup Thursday for Game 4 of the NLCS against the Mets, Mike DiGiovanna of the Los Angeles Times reports.
Dodgers manager Dave Roberts had said previously that he expected Freeman -- who has been playing through discomfort in his right ankle -- to start every game during the NLCS. It's not clear yet whether Freeman has experienced a setback or if Roberts decided Game 4 was a good day to get the first baseman a little rest since the Mets are starting a lefty in Jose Quintana. Max Muncy is handling first base Thursday while Enrique Hernandez plays third.

Yamaha’s going to have to throw another near flawless game with this lineup. LA does about as good against Quintana as they do Darvish. And we ALL know how well they respond in games that follow high scoring affairs. Looking like series goes back to even after tonight. FIRE DAISY & FRAUDY!!!

Once again, LA happily proves me wrong.
Somewhere out on Long Island, a middle aged man still living in his parents basement is sobbing into his pillow.
Panic wasn’t really a Dodger fan. He was WAY into both the Mutts and Spankees, tho.

Well tomorrow, Dodgers go for the kill, while hopefully, the Indians tie the series at 2 apiece. I'm rooting for the Indians cos Dodgers have to score to settle, doing back to 1920 when the Cleveland Naps beat the Brooklyn Robins. Sure, a Dodger-Yankee world series would be great, but it's no fun rooting for the overcat unless it's your team.
GO BLUE!!!

I worked the ambulance chaser seminar. Whatever it is. Just got updates. Saw Phillips work out of a bases loaded jam. It was Mookie's night.

Dodgers' Freddie Freeman: Optimistic about playing Friday Rotowire 3 hrs ago Freeman (ankle) said Thursday that he feels "really good" about his chances of being in the lineup Friday for Game 5 of the NLCS versus the Mets, Fabian Ardaya of The Athletic reports.
The Dodgers elected to hold Freeman out of Game 4 on Thursday so that he didn't have to play back-to-back days as he deals with a painful right ankle injury. He was, however, available off the bench and it sounds like he'll be back in there Friday as the Dodgers look to close out the series.

I'm sure Freddie would want to be on the field when they clinch.

Ain’t no way they’re coming back from this one. So, I’ll start deriding Daisy right now for his inane bullpen game on Sunday. He’ll undoubtedly save My Sharona for it, rather than stick him in there tonight for long relief as it doesn’t look like Flaherty will be going much longer. We may have to wait until Monday for LA to wrap things up. Perhaps a combination of Buehler and Yamaha? FIRE DAISY & FRAUDY!!!
