Dodgers' Yoshinobu Yamamoto: Named Game 4 starter Rotowire 1 hr ago Yamamoto will start Thursday in Game 4 of the NLCS against the Mets, Fabian Ardaya of The Athletic reports.
Yamamoto was able to bounce back in Game 5 of the NLDS by throwing five shutout frames against the Padres after he had given up five runs in just three innings during Game 1. He'll now be tasked with keeping quiet a Mets offense that owns a .698 OPS since the start of the postseason.
Dodgers' Gavin Lux: Expected to start Wednesday Rotowire 1 hr ago Manager Dave Roberts said he expects Lux (hip) to be back in the lineup Wednesday for Game 3 of the NLCS, Matthew Moreno of DodgerBlue.com reports.
Lux was absent from the lineup in Game 2 after being removed from Game 1 due to hip flexor tightness. The second baseman is 5-for-19 with a home run and two walks in the 2024 postseason. If he is back in the lineup as expected Wednesday, he will be facing Mets' right-handed starter Luis Severino.

Just saw an interesting bit on PTI. Seems the last three grand slams in the postseason following an international walk (including the one by the Mutts yesterday) have ALL come off Dodger pitchers and Daisy’s decision to issue the IBB.
Is it any wonder that LA continues to fail every October?
LA is going to need to take two in New York.
But that still leaves them with ANOTHER bullpen game and Buehler pitching Game 7, if necessary.
Nothing about that scenario incites a massive vote of confidence that they will advance to the World Series.
Bad move not starting Buehler at home yesterday; but not surprising, given Daisy’s near decade of October futility.
FIRE DAISY & FRAUDY!!!

Dodgers' Gavin Lux: Back in lineup for Game 3 Rotowire 9 mins ago Lux (hip) will start at second base and bat sixth Wednesday in Game 3 of the NLCS versus the Mets.
Lux had to depart Game 1 and didn't play Game 2 because of hip flexor tightness, but he's feeling well enough to give it a go Wednesday. The 26-year-old is 5-for-19 with one home run in six contests so far this postseason.

Dodgers' Miguel Rojas: Diagnosed with sports hernia Rotowire 23 mins ago Rojas said Wednesday that he has a sports hernia and will need to undergo surgery during the offseason, Mike DiGiovanna of the Los Angeles Times reports.
Rojas noted that he attempted to persuade the Dodgers to keep him on the roster for the NLCS despite his injury, and he feels that he could still play through it if Los Angeles advances to the World Series. However, based on the team's unwillingness to play him against the Mets, it seems more likely that the 35-year-old infielder remains sidelined until next season.
Dodgers' Daniel Hudson: Available for Game 3 Rotowire 35 mins ago Manager Dave Roberts said Wednesday that Hudson will be available for Game 3 of the NLCS against the Mets on Wednesday after dealing with a lower-body injury in Game 2, Bill Shaikin of the Los Angeles Times reports.
Hudson pitched a scoreless inning during Game 1 but was apparently unavailable for Game 2 due to an injury that wasn't disclosed beforehand. The issue now seems to have subsided, and the 37-year-old righty will be able to pitch in high-leverage situations after logging 10 saves and posting a 3.00 ERA in the regular season.
Dodgers' Jack Flaherty: Penciled in for Game 5 Rotowire 52 mins ago Flaherty will start in Game 5 of the NLCS against the Mets on Friday, Bob Nightengale of USA Today reports.
Flaherty was dominant in Game 1 of the series, striking out six batters over seven shutout innings en route to a 9-0 victory. He'll look to put on a similar performance Friday against a Mets offense that owns a .698 OPS across their nine postseason contests.
