Maybe this convinces Kershaw to go home and try for one with what should be a chance to run it back.
Have to wonder if the Rangers would even make him an offer and if so, would he be given a spot in the postseason rotation if they did make it back in October.
He’s been my favourite Dodger since Garvey, but he’s also been a HUGE liability come October. Was it all his fault?
Certainly the Asshoes cheating had a major effect on that softball game loss.
But he’s had other chances to “step up to the plate” and has failed miserably more times than not.
One has to wonder if it’s a mental thing that he just can seem to shake.
How much does he have left in the tank? He certainly looked like he had reinvented himself to more of a finesse pitcher than fireballer this regular season, albeit on a limited basis due to his annual IL visits.
But once again, he choked the chicken in our opener to the Snakes and that was that. Far too much pressure on the kid Miller time to even the series up.
But I again put that on Daisy. He should have switched those two in the rotation like he did with Buehler a few years ago.
Buehler ended up pitching great and I think it pissed Kersh off to the point that he went out and threw probably the best he ever had in October.
Of course, that was 2020 when Kersh had a lot fewer “miles” on his arm due to the limited regular season.
But still - the psyche was there and it might have had the same effect this year had the two dümkophs actually tried something the computer didn’t tell them to.
How LA let Maddux go to Texas and spread his genius there is another head scratcher.
Both Eovaldi and Sborz (ex-Dodgers) looked like starting and relief aces in their appearances and I’d be willing to bet a good deal of that came from Maddux’s wisdom.
But I digress and know that LA will continue to dominate the regular season and then shit the bed in October as long as Fraudy and his puppet remain in charge.
At least my Dolphins are finally starting to show some potential toward playing in January / February.
And my NY Rangers seem to have found their way back into one of the elite teams of the NHL.
GO DODGERS!!!
