Watching the end of the Rangers / Rays game. Game 1. Rangers winning 4-0 in the 9th. One of the announcers said Eddie Murray never hit lefthanded until he was in Double AA. His manager dared him.
Wow! Dude's in the Hall of Fame as a switch-hitter. What a great natural athlete.

I didn’t start switch hitting until I was in high school after playing every year in little league from age five on up. And it actually came from playing tennis and watching / learning how to use the two handed backhand like some of the guys like Conners and later Agassi were using. Hitting a baseball left handed is the same as hitting the two handed backhand. With a much smaller and round racquet. GO DODGERS!!! |

I might have made it to the next level in college, but I lost a good second and a half to two seconds in my forty time after my knee surgery. And like a LOT of guys, had trouble hitting the curve.
