Stuart Margolin died at age 82. Any fan of The Rockford Files would remember Margolin's sleazy character Angel. He was the one who would sell his own mother out for a nickel. There was one scene that always made me chuckle. This professional hitman had Angel tied to a pillar supporting a freeway overpass. He was going to shoot Angel unless he told him where to find Rockford. Angel protested that he didn't know where Rockford was. But he could make a list of friends & associates of his.
The police arrived, Rockford (who had started to untie Angel) left him standing there, tied to the overpass.
Thanks for all the laughs.

He was also in one of the funniest MASH episodes as an officer that was called in by Burns and Houlihan to investigate an illegal nose job Trapper & Hawkeye were going to perform on an enlisted man. The ending was great, with the entire camp, including the company dog walking around with taped bandages over their noses. I sure miss shows like that and Rockford. SO much crap on these days that we’re down to probably only a half dozen or so shows we tune in weekly to watch. GO DODGERS!!!

Put Mannix in a helicopter & somehow he knows how to fly it. The police treated Rockford like a voyeur taking snapshots through a bedroom window. It was natural he would associate with Angel.
