Stafford took a fearful beating yesterday. The Rams better shore up their offensive line. Chiefs tonight. BOTH 2021 season Super Bowl teams are struggling and it just goes to show how hard it is to repeat in this league, especially with all of the wagering revenues the game produces. The Burrows would very likely be 1 - 4 had they not knocked Tua out and although the final score didn’t dictate it, barely got by a QB2 who had little to no practice time and even less ability. The Gints were supposed to be terrible, yet they’re sitting at 4 - 1, after beating the Rodgers in London, a team they haven’t won against in decades. I’ve always been convinced that Vegas has complete control over these games. And now, with all of the online betting and sports books on every corner, it has become even more evident to be true. GO DODGERS!!!

Meyer Lansky would be jealous.

So why is it every three or four years nearly every school district in the state is crying for more money via increased levies, which nine times out of ten pass, increasing our already absurd property taxes? We have three payments left on our home. From there, we’ll just be “renting” the space from Colerain Township via our twice-annual $2,000 + property tax bill. GO DODGERS!!!

I think I read the money can't be used for salaries. Only upkeep & or construction. I could be wrong about that though. It would sure explain some things though. Three local high schools around here have undergone MAJOR construction. They look like they could house twice as many students. Which would, of course, necessitate twice as many teachers. Then you have groundskeepers, janitors, cafeteria workers, Ted Cruz's armed guards, gun turrets, ramparts, moats, etc. A funny aside to that is me taking a trip down memory lane. All three public schools I attended looked EXACTLY the same. The grammar school had taken out a bungalow & turned part of the playground into the faculty parking lot. The junior high & high schools looked like they hadn't even been painted. I asked an office worker at the grammar school where all the money had gone. Why aren't you guys upgrading too? She answered.. "What money?" That's what I thought.

They spent $35 mil redoing the middle school and tore down two elementary schools which they retained the now vacant lands for. Probably at least 20 + acres at each. The district I attended was fairly small - four elementary, one junior and one high school. Three of the four elementaries and the high school were torn down and lands sold; the junior high was sold to one of those new wave churches. They turned around and built a new facility that addresses all grades from K - 12. Not sure what that all ran with the real estate, but I heard it was around $90 mil. STOP THE MADNESS!!!

Not to mention replacing the electronic sign they had just purchased maybe a year or two ago with a larger and more graphic HD one. GO DODGERS!!!

Forgot to mention the Chiefs won a barn burner on Monday Night Football. 30-29 over the Raiders. If this team had a great, all purpose running back, they would be a juggernaut. A Jamaal Charles Lite type of back.

The 9ers tried to hang. God bless their hearts that they made a game of it for three quarters. But these ARE the Chiefs. Final score was 44-23.

Janine showed his true colours when the pressure was on. And I don’t know how Miami managed to score 16 points early and then not another for most of the second period and ENTIRE second half. Two of the fastest recorded dudes in the league and they’re running 10 - 15 yard routes or running Edmonds up the middle for two yards every time they crossed mid field. Some very odd play calling and passing on a FG that would’ve put them up two scores was simply absurd. But these ARE the Dolphins. Tua threw four dropped interceptions and Pittsburgh was also shut out in the second half. REALLY ugly game, but I’ll take the win. Still wishing they’d tanked ANOTHER year and waited on Lawrence or AT LEAST had the sense not to pick a dude made of glass from Hawaii over Herbert or Burrow. Tua still not screaming FRANCHISE QB to me, despite the first three games and 3 - 0 record. Guess the football “gods” had to let them win on their golden anniversary of the perfect season. Detroit should be interesting next week. GO DODGERS!!!

Tennessee is doing a number on the Chiefs so far. SO many oddities in today’s games. It’s almost like they’re blatantly doing things and WANTING to get caught. Dropped balls hitting receivers RIGHT in their hands, missed passes to WIDE OPEN receivers, QB passes made DIRECTLY to opposing players, fumble after fumble . . . the list goes on and on. The celebration after EVERY tackle, turnover, big play and of course TD. My God - these guys are SUCH egomaniacs and if they don’t make Sportscenter one way or the other, their week is ruined! The games are almost getting unwatchable. Miami’s D today had more holes in it than a four by eight sheet of peg board. A rookie QB RAN for over 50 MORE yards than he passed for. Miami looked like they were trying to lose more than win, despite scoring 35. Missed a 29 yard field goal I could have kicked, went for it on 4th down twice, called terrible plays and failed both times. A W, especially on the road, is a W. But their defense is highly suspect and will HAVE to improve significantly if they are still thinking postseason. GO DODGERS!!!

Then you'll be happy to learn the refs just gave KC three chances at a two point conversion. I'm a little embarrassed, but will take it.

Chiefs win again. They're 7-2. They might have found a running game too. Pacheco carried the ball 16 times for 82 yards.
