Patrick Mahomes muddled through his first game, sans Tyreek Hill. A 44-21 win over the Cardinals. He went 30-39 for 360 yards, 5 touchdowns & no interceptions.
Hill also had a solid game for Miami.

Tua had a pretty decent day - no fumbles, no INT’s and two TD throws. Should be interesting to see how he does on the road next week against the Ravens and then here in Cincy on the following Thursday night. I will be there in the end zone trying to get my first NFL football. I’ve gotten dozens of baseballs, including a couple at Dodger Stadium, but I’ve never gotten an NFL football. GO DODGERS!!! |

Good to see Aikman and Buck are going to be as obnoxious and oblivious on ESPN as they were on CBS.
Not only did they never shut their pie holes for even a split second during last nights Broncos / Seahawks game, they were obviously not paying too much attention to the game.
On one play, which a Denver player was called for unnecessary roughness, the lineman hit Hawks QB Geno Smith chest high with his forearm.
The hit may have been a second late, but the two yo-yos INSISTED the penalty was for helmet to helmet contact.
Thing is - their helmets didn’t even touch. Just another ridiculous penalty that should have and would have NEVER been called before the NFL became a bunch of pussies.
A 300 pound lineman coming full speed cannot just INSTANTLY stop when trying to get a sack. It’s simply impossible.
A forearm into the chest as the QB is releasing the ball should not be a penalty.
Of course, Aikman and Buck were so far up the Hawks and Geno’s ass that you would have thought this perennial second stringer that has sucked at every stop in his career was Joe freakin Montana.
They wanted Denver and former Hawks QB Russell Wilson to fail in his first game at his former home field and they got their wish.
Not because Geno & the Hawks were that much better (they weren’t).
But due to some VERY questionable play calling by new Denver head coach Hackett as well as two goal line fumbles and another fourth down stop by the Hawks D.
And the ill advised waste of time and 64 yard FG attempt at the end of the game by a dude that had only made one out of eight attempts over 50 yards.

Opening kickoff run back and then Tua with two-a INT’s early, I had already given up on this one.
At 35 - 14 in the fourth and Jackson shredding the Fins D on every drive, I was ready to go take a nap.
Then the comeback started and Tua started throwing TD’s and the D changed uniforms.
Buffalo in Miami next week will be a test. But the Fins have a very good shot starting 4 - 0 or 3 - 1, instead of the 1 - 3 most of the “experts” were predicting.
REALLY looking forward to next Thursday night here in Cin City.
The Burrows have shown that their new O line is as bad, if not worse than last years model. 13 sacks given up in two games.
Can’t wait to see their CB’s and safeties try to cover Hill and Waddle.

How many hits to the head did Brett Favre take? Whether he realizes it or not, he's going to jail. He's been embezzling federal assistance money earmarked for poor people to build fancy new stadiums for his alma mater in Mississippi. Over & over he was warned.

How many hits to the head did Brett Favre take? Whether he realizes it or not, he's going to jail. He's been embezzling federal assistance money earmarked for poor people to build fancy new stadiums for his alma mater in Mississippi. Over & over he was warned. He’s probably got enough money to buy his way out. Embezzlement is such a white collar crime and he’ll get off with repayment and some substantial penalties / fines. I’d be surprised if he does a day behind bars, but if he does, he better mate up with some big MF’s or he’ll be somebody’s bitch before he makes up his first cot. GO DODGERS!!! |

Burrows knock Tua out early; game over. Teddy Bridgewater may have been QB1 by default in Minnesota, but he’s not a QB1 in the NFL.
Poor accuracy, poor reads and little to no running ability.
Lots of missed opportunities by the Phins resulting in FG’s (including one miss) rather than TD’s.
You could almost see the Vegas writing on the wall on this one very early on when Hill dropped a pass that hit him right between the numbers in the end zone on Miami’s first drive.
Top top the evening off, some dumbass slammed into the side of my vintage cherry mint condition 2003 Ford Harley Davidson F150 in the parking garage after the game was over.
I bought it three years ago & it only had 36k miles on it. It now has 39,000; obviously doesn’t leave the garage too often.
Totally crushed the drivers side door. Dude stopped and couldn’t stop apologizing. Fully insured, but still SUCKED / SUCKS!!!

Is being a total dickhead now a prerequisite for QB1 in Green Bay?
First, you have Farce funneling charity and welfare funding in excess of one million into his daughters college so they can build a new volleyball facility, who I’m just guessing is a volleyball player.
Then I just saw something last week about Rogers comparing and honestly believing he’s as much of a GOAT as Brady. TOM BRADY?!? The dude with SEVEN rings as opposed to your one? THAT Tom Brady???
PUHHLEEASE!!! Not in the same football game - not even in the same STADIUM!!!
I’m certainly no fan of Brady after watching him pretty much own the division my Phins play in for over a decade.
But even I can recognize greatness over decency. Rogers has mountains to climb before he should be comparing himself to Brady.
