Just saw on Twitter deGrom is suffering from shoulder tightness this spring. What are the chances he starts the season on the IL?
As great as this guy is, he’s only pitched a full season in four of the eight years since his call up, including shut downs in each of the last two years.
At least we got a FULL eight years out of Kershaw before he started breaking down.
Let’s see just how far the Mutts go this year with Jacob and Scherzer’s “dead arm”. I’m guessing they’ll be their usual “meh” selves.

“Stress reaction to right scapula” is diagnosis following MRI. Passan reporting deGrom to miss a “significant part” of the early season.
Ima gonna guess surgery and he’s out all of this and possibly some of next year.
All the talent in the world, but just can’t keep himself off the IL. Shame.

And now Scherzer with a “tender” hamstring. We all know how troublesome those can be. He and the Mutts are supposedly “unconcerned”.
I remember how “unconcerned” LA was with the hamstrings of Kemp, Puig and others. They ALL ended up getting extensive time on the IL.
