Good stuff! Notice there wasn't a holding or defensive hands to the face on the lines in the 49ers game. The Rams were doing both all game long to the 9ers lines and no calls. Expect that to be the case in the Super Bowl. If Cincy wants to upset their coaches need to instill to the O- line that the refs will let them play and keep Burrow upright. NFL and the refs don't want a bunch of penalties in their marquee game. Wonder how Belichick kept all those Super Bowls close on defense. His corners would "press" (hold) at the line of scrimmage. Hoping for a good game either way man. Saw that Flores is suing the New York Giants for racism in their coaching hiring. I don't know how you prove that in the hiring process? But, he can pretty much go the Kaepernick way and kiss his career good bye. At one point, I believe there were seven out of 32 teams with black coaches. That’s a pretty decent ratio if you ask me. The problem is, most of them SUCKED! The NFL & it’s owners want to win and win NOW. Mike Tomlin is the ONLY black coach that has been consistently successful. Flores had three years and even though he produced winning records these last two years, the Phins did not make the playoffs. I’m sure that 0 - 7 start this year didn’t help his case. But look at some of the others. Marvin Lewis was here in Cincy for a decade (or more); never won a playoff game. One of his assistants whose name eludes me went to Cleveland and won only four or five games over several years. I could go on and on, but I believe the point has been made. Just because you’re an excellent assistant on a great team doesn’t mean you’ll be an excellent head coach, whether you’re white, black, pink, purple or polka-dotted. And yeah - Flores will be lucky to get another job at a junior college at this point. But I am hopeful that the “pay to lose” accusations are proven. Nothing I would like to see more than Ross having to sell the team. They’ve been nothing short of a disaster since he became majorly owner. GO DODGERS!!! I get why franchises would want to tank for a top pick. The Joe Burrow pick it has completely turned them around. Of course you don't want to hear your team tanking and guys on the field need to perform well or they'll be out of a job but I get it because in the NFL one of those picks can catapult the franchise to the top. It's very different from baseball and the top picks which need to be developed and go through the minors etc. As for Flores there are just too many holes. He sues the Dolphins for being fired, he sues the Giants for hiring Daboll, he sues the Broncos for hiring Nathaniel but he doesn't sue the Raiders who hired his buddy Josh McDaniels. Then the Broncos just fired a defensive head coach and had a black head coach before that. Unless he has something recorded or in writing I think it's just going to be too hard to make something out of it. |

I'm taking the Bengals. The Rams are the star studded team playing in their home stadium but if all remains consistent I don't think the zebras want to decide the NFL's marquee game so they'll let them play. That's how pretty much the Bengals can stay in it and win. Their line has to hold the hell out of the Rams and let Burrow cook.

I'm taking the Bengals. The Rams are the star studded team playing in their home stadium but if all remains consistent I don't think the zebras want to decide the NFL's marquee game so they'll let them play. That's how pretty much the Bengals can stay in it and win. Their line has to hold the hell out of the Rams and let Burrow cook. The Rams have a ferocious defense. I don't trust Stafford though. He's very likely to confuse jerseys & throw the ball away. Was that Ferragamo? I think the excuse was once made (after he had thrown countless interceptions) that he was color blind. Well, don't you think that's something a team would like to know? |
