Basketball Hall of Famer Elgin Baylor has died due to natural causes, the Lakers announced.
He was 86.

Elgin was Dr. J before there was a Dr. J. I'm sure Erving had to have watched Baylor play. Unfortunately for Elgin, he never played on a championship team. He retired a few games into that historic 1971-72 season. They wound up winning 33 in a row & 69 overall. They brought Los Angeles it's first NBA title.
RIP, Elgin.

A private party in a suite. He was still GM of the Clippers. I forget what that party was for. I felt bad for Elgin he had to work for Donald Sterling. Think Baylor wound up suing him.
