Like during last year's World Series.

MLB names Ken Griffey Jr. as senior adviser to commissioner Rob Manfred. Griffey will work in several areas, but one is "baseball operations." Here's hoping that Griffey and Theo Epstein can help make baseball watchable again.

I hear the latest is they want to move the mound back two feet. TWO FEET?!? Is he freakin’ serious with this latest shit idea?
Does he honestly feel that a guy throwing 100 + mph can’t throw that pitch at that same speed for another TWO FEET?
Or is he naive enough to think that the millisecond it takes to travel those EXTRA two feet are somehow going to give batters enough time to adjust their swings for more contact?
For the love of God - leave the game ALONE!!! It’s been doing fine for over 130 years now and every time these jackasses implement some new rule or tweak existing rules, it moves that much closer to destroying the game most of us grew up playing and loving.
From fully enclosed and netted infields, to expanded playoffs, to the inevitable universal DH, to the completely retarded runner on second extra innings.
Not a single one of them have added ANYTHING to the game, nor have they decreased game times as hoped.
As I have said before to the attention deficit crowd - if you don’t want to spend three hours or more on one of the purest of the big four leagues and games, find another sport or hobby to dedicate yourself to.
Stop trying to make a great and nearly perfect sport as it is better and more “efficient”.
GO DODGERS!!!

This man must be stopped!

This man must be stopped! If they REALLY want to shorten games, they might as well adopt USSSA (softball) rules. The big four are as follows: 1) Start every count at 1 - 1. 2) Foul ball on strike three = out. In other words, two foul ball limit for every AB. 3) Seven inning games. 4) If any team leads by ten in or after the fifth inning game is over. That ought to cut most games to an hour or just over. I played in this league for the better part of three decades and rarely had a game go much more than an hour. Some round robin tournament weekends would result in seven games in the same day. Lots of beers consumed on those days. GO DODGERS!!!

Stop trying to make a great and nearly perfect sport as it is better and more “efficient”. GO DODGERS!!! THat's my philosophy in most walks of life. In general, I hate change. First and foremost, there's no reason to change anything in the baseball playing rules. Move back the mound??? How long has the mound been 60.5' from the plate? Changing the intentional walk was also stupid: I can recall a few occasions when the hitter swung and got a hit, catching the fielders off-guard. And if they want to speed up the game, do away with the instant replay. Sure, shouting at the umps also takes time, but surely less than the replay. You can see what I highlighted, and I can't emphasize that enough. And you can see my statement on my logo. Manfred's gimmicks have made me forget about the DH. It's to the point now that I'd gladly accept the DH in the NL in exchange for all the rule changes to be repealed. You know I've said this before: I do want one change: no more wild card, never mind two now. We need one more new team in each league and four divisions. No more of the home field advantage nonsense. It'll be like before, when the home team alternated year to year. If a team is #1, let them prove it by winning on any field.

A lot of Twitter is blowing up Manturd and his ridiculous 10th inning rule and rightfully so. It is a girls high school rule (no offense to any women, as if there were any here) that invariably results in both teams scoring and an 11th or 12th or 13th inning.
It has done ABSOLUTELY NOTHING to speed up the games as intended and has led to some simply ridiculous outcomes, like the one last night for us as well as the Mads / Hoes game where The Chicken Kings got SEVEN runs in their half of the 11th.
It’s beyond time for removal of not only this rule, but also the asshole himself that implemented it along with several other retarded rules. The game was just fine before he and Uncle Bud started screwing around with it. We got rid of Bud - Manturd needs to go as well.
GO DODGERS!!!

Well, the wild card, but Manjerk created the double wild card. I think Manjerk is'nt even a baseball fan. If he was, he wouldn't be making those changes, with more down the road, till the final product is an entirely new sport.

Soon to be followed by the triple wild card play-in and eventual “half the teams get in, half don’t”. As long as they can drag out a season and keep padding the owners pockets, they’ll keep adding more gimmicks and games so that these guys are still playing in November. How fun will THAT be? Unless they can then choose a neutral site (warm climate or domed park) for the World Series. Stay tuned - I think we’ve yet to see Turd’s entire bag of goodies. GO DODGERS!!!
