I qualified for Jeopardy. Tic Tac Dough too. Hard to believe anyone could be such a closet case as to be too geeky for those shows, but I managed. Painfully shy in public. A smart aleck in private. It wasn't until I turned to bartending that I learned my sarcasm & grasp of trivia came in handy. One time we were visiting my folks out in Tucson & I was rattling off answers. Tessa was watching this. Mom asked if there was anything she wanted. Meaning something to eat. Tessa blurted out - "I want my Daddy on that show!"
RIP Alex. You were perfect as the host of an American institution.

You were perfect as the host of an American institution. I used to watch it every night and there were some nights I was all over some categories and would know at least one or two from others. Those nights usually resulted in a Final that I also knew. Then there were nights that I’d have gotten no further than signing in. GO DODGERS!!!
