Logan White has interviewed for the Angels' GM job. Good luck with that. It seems like the last one they had worth a damn was Bill Stoneman. He might have been the ONLY one worth a damn they ever had.

This broke a few minutes ago on Twitter. I couldn't find verification yet. It sounds like maybe these two guys felt they were being passed over & quit. We'll see.

List of Angels GM's
Fred Haney 1960–1968 Became the first General Manager of the team when tapped by owner Gene Autry. Retired in 1968. Dick Walsh 1968–1971 Named successor as General Manager by Gene Autry following the retirement of Haney. Walsh was fired by Autry after the 1971 season due to the team failing to meet expectations. Harry Dalton 1971–1977 Was hired by Autry away from the Baltimore Orioles. Acquired pitcher Nolan Ryan from the New York Mets. After the 1977 season the Angels released Dalton from his contract. Buzzie Bavasi 1977–1984 Hired by Autry, Bavasi took the team to its first two appearances in the postseason. Retired in 1984. Mike Port 1984–1991 Dan O'Brien, Sr. 1991–1993 Whitey Herzog 1993–1994 Former St. Louis Cardinals manager during the 1980s Bill Bavasi 1994–1999 Son of former General Manager Buzzie Bavasi. Bill Stoneman 1999–2007 Former pitcher, who threw the first no-hitter in Montreal Expos' history; won the World Series as Angels GM in 2002. Tony Reagins 2007–2011 Became the first African-American General Manager in club history. Jerry Dipoto 2011–2015 Former pitcher. Billy Eppler 2016-2020
They average 5 years.
Dodgers since 1950 1 Branch Rickey 1950 2 Buzzie Bavasi 1951–1968 Won 8 NL Pennants & 4 World Series 3 Fresco Thompson 1968 Died shortly after taking job 4 Al Campanis 1968–1987 Won 4 NL Pennants & 1 World Series 5 Fred Claire 1987–1998 Won 1 NL Pennant & 1 World Series 6 Tommy Lasorda 1998 Interim 7 Kevin Malone 1999–2001 8 Dave Wallace 2001 Interim 9 Dan Evans 2001–2004 10 Paul DePodesta 2004–2005 11 Ned Colletti 2005–2014 12 Farhan Zaidi 2014–2018 Won 2 NL Pennant
Friedman has assumed the dual role of President of Baseball Operations & GM since Zaidi left. They averaged 5.4 years. But it has to be noted where Peter O'Malley sold the team to FOX & they employed five GM's in six years, & then McCourt went through three in 8 years, Walter O'Malley had four in 29 years (Fresco Thompson died after one year). One was Branch Rickey. Rickey & O'Malley were fighting for control of the club. Peter O'Malley employed 2 GM's during his tenure. Mark Walter inherited Ned Colletti & actually gave him a chance. Zaidi was hired by Friedman & left to become President of Baseball Operations for the Giants. Smooth transitions.
Harry Dalton of the Angels was very highly thought of.
