4.1 innings, 6 hits allowed, 3 runs, all earned, 2 walks & 4 strikeouts on 81 pitches for Ross Stripling in his debut for the Blue Jays. He took the loss. Now 3-2 / 5.68 ERA w/ a 1.50 WHIP in 8 starts in 2020. He has 31 K's in 38.0 innings. 44 hits allowed & 13 walks. Even though Ross didn't allow a homer against the Red Sox in his last start, he's still given up an alarming 12 in those 38.0 innings. About 3 per 9.0 innings.
Best of luck, Ross.

Verdugo is batting .313-5-13 with a league leading 14 doubles. He has a .369 OB% & .510 SLG%. 133 OPS+. It doesn't look like he did any damage against Stripling when they faced each other recently. He leads the Sox with 27 runs scored though.

Maeda pitched yesterday. 6.0 innings, 2 hits (1 a homer), 3 runs allowed, all earned, 1 walk & 8 K's on 91 pitches. He didn't figure in the decision. An eventual 4-3 win by the Twins. He's now 4-1 / 2.77 ERA, a league leading 0.72 WHIP. 56 K's in 48.2 innings. He's averaging 6.0 innings a start. He still leads the league with just 5.0 hits allowed per 9.0 innings.

Kenta is also averaging just 22.6 batters faced per 6.0 innings. That's about 4 & a half batters over the minimum.

I noticed the Asshoes have also been hovering around .500 most of the year as well. I like our chances but then again, so does Vegas and they’ve been wrong for the last several years. And if a team gets hot come October, they can go all the way as we’re all too well aware. GO DODGERS!!!

Just I'm sure they hoped for better. Gerrit Cole rhp 9 years/$324M (2020-28) 9 years/$324M (2020-28) signed by NY Yankees as a free agent 12/18/19 Cole may opt out of contract after 2024 if Cole exercises right to opt out, the Yankees may void his decision by adding a 10th year (2029) at $36M full no-trade protection at signing, highest average annual value in history in total value, largest ever contract for a pitcher Then there are the requisite injuries & underperforming. Gary Sanchez is batting .130. Stanton is back on the IL. Judge is on the IL. Montgomery has a 5.72 ERA. Happ's is 4.68. I'm so glad to be a Dodger fan.

Verdugo has sat the last couple of games because of hamstring tightness. He has an eight game hitting streak though. 13-32 / .406 in that time. He's now batting .328-6-14 / .383 / .511 overall. 15 doubles. 4 of 4 on stolen bases. It looks like opposing baserunners stopped running on him.

Kenta had a quality start his last time out. 6.0 innings, 4 hits allowed, 3 runs, all earned, no walks & 9 strikeouts. He got the win. He finished 6-1 / 2.70 ERA, league leading 0.75 WHIP, 80 strikeouts in 66.2 innings.
jrgreene6 already mentioned Ryu's last performance. He wound up 5-2 / 2.69 ERA & 1.15 WHIP. 72 K's in 67.0 innings.
Verdugo came back from his hamstring injury on the 22nd & didn't fare well. 3-21 in his last five games. He winds up .308-6-15 / .367 / .478 in 221 PA's. That gave him a 126 OPS+. He tied Xander Bogaerts for the team lead with 36 runs scored.
Basically, we jettisoned an All-Star team & finished with the best record in baseball.
