THough we only had six picks on the draft thanks to Rob Manfred (and we thought Bud Selig was bad!), our first two picks were real winners. RHP Bobby Miller, our #1, well, Al Leiter couldn't say enough about how great a pitcher and overall athlete he is, just like he had glowing reviews on Walker Beuhler. He's consistently about 97 MPH and has a wipeout slider. And our #2 pick, RHP Landon Knack, has a 51-1 K/BB ratio and it seems he'd be more likely to join the rotation. Our scouts and other experts always pick great starters!

Dude must have unbelievable control. Hope it translates to MLB. Could be our closer of the future even though projected as a starter. Remember - so was Gagne. GO DODGERS!!!

Very true. As a starter, he had pretty mediocre stats, but Tommy Lasorda saw his potential as a closer, and he was indeed great.

I kinda liked him.

I kinda liked him. I was always a big fan of Tracy. Met and talked to him a number of times in Vero. Very cool guy who lived probably 10 - 15 minutes from me in the off season (Hamilton, which we southerners refer to as “Hamiltucky” because there’s a LOT of redneck hillbillies that reside there). It is in fact a tradition here that every time a Lynyrd Skynyrd song comes on we look North a give a big old “yee haw” to the lovely city of Hamilton. GO DODGERS!!!

Both Tracy & Dan Evans got bum raps from Frank McCourt. Evans had unloaded enough salary to get Vladimir Guerrero. McCourt kept the money & let Dan interview for his own job. Oldbear from the old board loved Paul DePodesta & would ridicule Evans for wearing a pink shirt. Well, as long as you have a good reason for hating the man. Tracy got fired for not letting DePo manage the team from the owner's box. No one should be sullied for running afoul of Frank McCourt. That's a badge of honor.
