The Toy Cannon is dead at 78. I saw no cause of death. The 5'-9" slugger broke Frank Howard's LA Dodger club record record with 32 homers in 1974.

When men were men, Jimmy would take those HUGE windmill swings, eat dirt on the inevitable follow up knockdown pitch, pick himself up, dust himself off, never threaten or act like a drama queen, & take another windmill swing that would corkscrew him into the dirt again. We were both 5'-9" & about 185 lbs. I patterned my swing after his.
