The Angels need pitching and bad. Wasn't it the same winter they let Greinke go that they spent so lavishly on Josh Hamilton? Made a lot of LA crack dealers happy. The list of mistakes made by Arte Moreno is long & storied.

In less than two years Moreno turned the Angels from perennial contenders to the sad sack franchise the greatest player of his generation languishes on. Moreno had told Hunter he didn't have enough money to re-sign him. If you're going to trade Jean Segura, at least keep his ace replacement. Moreno letting Greinke drive north on the 405 might have been partial payback for Vladimir Guerrero.

In less than two years Moreno turned the Angels from perennial contenders to the sad sack franchise the greatest player of his generation languishes on. Yeah they spend but have spent very foolishly on declining veterans. There were questions about Pujols' age already. But say he really was what? 32? You give a 10 year contract to a 32 year old? The Cardinals were obviously suspicious or they would have offered more. I also firmly believe Albert was roiding. His performance declined dramatically upon arriving in Anaheim. He never came close to batting .300 again. He probably figured he already got paid & why risk his legacy by continuing to roid (& giving his VERY generous & stupid new employer & their milquetoast fans their money's worth) when the contract is already guaranteed? By going off 'roids Albert didn't risk suspensions & monetary loss, or his chances at the Hall of Fame. At the time he talked about praying for a decision. Cardinals? Angels? PLEASE! You took the money. Asshole. He reminded me of Willie Stargell. If there was ever a more fake SOB it was Albert Pujols.
