Well, we can agree that his two previous appearances Jelly entered with six run leads. Good in one. Sucked in the other. Blew chunks in the finale. I would have preferred rolling the dice with Gonsolin. Friedman took that option away, so stick with Maeda.

"He is never getting over this. Clayton Kershaw is never getting over this." Ouch! That is 7 post seasons that he has performed terribly in. 2017 is the one that hurts the most. They gave the choker 7 mother freaking runs!!! Well now we exactly know what happened in that game. He was phenomenal in Game 1, and then Game 5 the 3 run HR by Gurriel came as a result of cheating.
Unreal, I hope they all get punished including Beltran. Would be awesome to see the Mets pay for it too :-)

Hate to see all the hate on Kershaw. I think y'all are very unfair to that man and its disgusting to read. K-man! Long time no hear! Saw you paid a visit to nono a couple of weeks ago. Wish Iād had a chance to hook up with him when we flew out for the WS in ā18, but our trip was very ālast minuteā and we barely had time to do much more than hit Games 4 & 5 before heading back home to Cin City - crazy whirlwind weekend! Despite my criticism, I still love Kersh. Heās the only player I have purchased a jersey with his name and number on since my idol growing up (Garvey). I still wear #6, but with my last name on all of my other jerseys. Itās a shame and mystery just what happens to the guy in the postseason, but heās clearly not the same and has suffered far more disappointments than successes. I really think it is a mental thing and that Game 5 against the Nats may haunt him for the rest of his career. He will continue to be a steady and successful regular season guy, but his usage in October should be carefully examined and evaluated. Doc is going to need to depend more on stats than his heart and gut when it comes to starting or using Kersh in relief in the postseason. GO DODGERS!!!

How many more opportunities to win the WS are we going to let this guy ruin? I mean look at other pitchers who just give it their all in the post season. Anibal Sanchez? Come on. I am still fuming from our early boot from the playoffs thanks to the perennial choker. I know it is not all his fault, but fact are facts, Kerchoke is not a big game pitcher and never will be. going forward, Kershaw should NOT start any game 1-3 or deciding game. The guy is NOT an ace and clearly doesn't deserve any consideration for his storied regular season accomplishments. IMO, he cannot redeem himself ever so stop giving him a chance t do so. Drops mic..... I concur with this entire post and said going into the Nats series he shouldnāt have started either home game. Granted, our offense didnāt do much for him in Game Two, but itās tough to keep coming back time after time when youāre down by two or three after the first couple of innings. Kershās first inning ERA this year was north of seven for most of the season (not sure what it was going into October). That ALONE should have triggered at least the thought of bumping him to allow Ferris & Ryu to pitch the openers and a better probability for us to go to DC up two - zip. But DDF II was bound and determined to let his āaceā pitch at home. Maybe if Turner shags that double down the line, weāre looking forward to playing Game 3 in St. Louis tonight. Who knows? And now the biggest issue with Kersh is going to be his mental status going forward. Heās blown postseason games before, but never one this early in the tournament via back to back HRās. This game is probably going to haunt him worse than all of his other š© postseason appearances combined. And as I said in another thread, it might take some type of hypnotic voodoo to get this and all of his postseason eff-ups gone from his memory. Maybe they can do a Total Recall on him and replace all of the bad games with good ones. Get him a few replica WS rings via e-Bay, etc. Whatevee it takes. But from here out, his postseason work should be limited. Just like it should have been in Game Five. He got the BIG out we needed there. Let THAT get banked in his memory as a moment that allowed us to advance. Maybe he uses that as motivation and pitches like he should the next two series. But now - heās got just another ugly dark cloud moment to add to his collection and weāve got another year of āwait ātil next yearā to tell ourselves. GO DODGERS!!!

Bet y'all feel bad now that you know the real reason Kershaw was beaten, and if you try and make excuses its just that because you don't want to own your bashing of one of the all time great Dodger pitchers. I always knew something was wrong. He is to good to have people hit him like that. Now we know. I also believe the cardinals were doing something too. It'll never be proven. Seems the MLB wants this to just go away. A great man has been wronged and his name is Clayton Kershaw. Dodger fans who bashed owe him a huge apology!

First, you acknowledge that Kershaw doesn't pitch well in the post season, then you knock us for our negative criticism. What??? Yes, he's the 2nd greatest Dodger pitcher of all time, but only in the regular season. Roberts brought him in and he got that clutch K, but Roberts should've brought in a fresh horse. There were plenty of rested arms available. Regardless, Kershaw is supposed to know how to pitch from all his years as a big leaguer. He's reinventing himself like Dennis Eckersley did, but he's not there yet. Up till two years ago, I'd smile when he was scheduled to start, now I get nervous. We have him for this season, then the next. But by then, given the Dodgers' history of great rotations, the rotation without him won't matter.

I said I felt bad for both Kershaw & Darvish after the news broke. But have you ever looked at replays of the second of the back to back homeruns Clayton gave up to Rendon? He might as well have underhanded in a beer league. It was that fat. Kershaw's postseason struggles go way back. Maybe to 2009 against the Phillies. I think (without looking it up, admittedly) he had five walks & three wild pitches in about five innings of 'work.' There's no denying that. Sign stealing? Don't swing at the next one. Martin called for a pitch in the dirt & to the backstop Look at it as Kobe & Shaq. Both had their pluses & minuses. Shaq was right in that Kobe gunned too much. But who do you want with the ball in the fourth quarter & in a fouling situation? Kershaw may very well be O'Neal. He gets you there. He won't carry you across the finish line.

Pitched another gem tonight. Good to see him doing so well with even the minimal bump in his velocity. Heās using all of his repertoire and mixing pitches well.
Still donāt trust him in the postseason, but perhaps heāll finally āgetting his groove backā and can earn his way into a few games. Maybe some middle relief?
Weāll probably need him with our young guns usually being done after four or five innings.
Knowing Doc, heāll throw him out there for a critical game five and / or seven. Weāve seen it before and we all know DDF II has problems with learning from his past errors.
GO DODGERS!!!
