Apparently during the Yankee series Rosenthal reported that Friedman has the hots for Anthony Rendon and could make a play for him this off- season. Pretty obvious why Friedman is interested but I like the fact that Friedman doesn't shy away from Boras clients since there are a few on the team. Does anyone have more info or insight on this?

I'm still figuring out this smart phone and will probably make some mistakes from not double-checking. Martin will be gone and replaced with either Barnes or Ruiz. That saves about 3.5 million dollars. Freese can be replaced with Beaty and Muncy. I would trust Max vs. southpaws. Lux will get minimum wage at second. Pollock and Kershaw are locked in. Buehler, Bellinger, Muncy, Pederson (if still here) can expect raises. Jansen and Turner (the latter of which would have to be dealt) get healthy bumps. Homer Bailey goes down to 5 million dollars. Ryu will be gone. Hill is gone. Maeda might be gone. We'll see about that one. If an internal replacement can't be found, that leaves Rendon and a closer on our radar. The Dodgers should be able to do this.

I tend to doubt that Ruiz will make the roster with the Fresh Prince here; too catchers, one with a little MLB experience, the other none. I'd be open to signing Rendon. 3B has always been our hardest position to fill. Since the team has been in LA, the only 3Bmen of note have been Ron Cey, Adrian Beltre and now Turner. Our team is primarily home grown, but a few exceptions have to be made.

I think that everything is on the money and I do think that since Joc gets a raise and is LH and there are multiple outfielders and is on the last year of arbitration gets dealt. The team might look like this is Rendon can be afforded: C Smith 1B JT 2B Muncy 3B Rendon SS Seager LF Verdugo CF Pollock RF Bellinger Obviously Bellinger can be put in CF, Pollock in LF, and Verdugo in RF. And, Beaty can be plugged in at 1st, 3rd, and in the outfield. I also think Rios will have a role in there somewhere. I don't know about guys like White and Gyorko. Or they can go with: C Smith 1B Muncy 2B Rendon 3B JT SS Seager LF Verdugo CF Pollock RF Bellinger And the usual suspects on the Bench like Taylor and Barnes. SP Buehler SP Kershaw SP Gonsolin SP Urias SP Maeda/May RP/SP Stripling
