Yeah, I like both of them.
Love how reed gave everyone a five on the way out. Pretty cool.
I guess I root for reed cuz he hasn't won? It's a tough one,
Ricky is there too. Hard to root against him as well.

Ricky's good, needs a major. Got a bit of a choking rep, kinda like Phil early on in majors

Re Rory: I want Rory because imo he's got a shot at being one of the all-time great ones. He can dominate, seen him do it. Bombs drives, high soft irons that just stick, like really close to the pins. If he's putting, it's lights out, ain't gonna catch him, & he can make it all look easy. Good temperament. He won a lotta majors early, seemed to imo get a little complacent with success so young. I felt he needed Tiger there as a rival to keep him sparked. Tiger unfortunately went south, deep.

Nobody posted much here yesterday, so I will today, lol. Catching up on the 3rd round I recorded (Reed and Rory in middle of their rounds as I post-saw scorecards, eagles to come!!!) while I was attempting my own personal greatness on the links yesterday. Oy. There's a good reason why I'm watching The Masters and not playing in it, :( . The final round is really gonna be good imho. Reed and Rory both look great & are playing in final group today. I see it as a two horse race, with Rickie folding at some point, hope it's not #12 that gets him. (Rory just chipped in for eagle on 8-he's pumped!)
Reed looks cool as a cucumber, I wish him well. I'm looking for Rory to hopefully catch Reed by end of nine, and then the two battle it out coming in. #12 is gonna take somebody out of it, hope it's not Reed or Rory, but someone in the top 10, I'm thinking Spieth.
Reed has never won a major, finished 2nd in the last major played, the PGA Championship in August. Rory has 4 majors, and needs The Masters to have won all four. I believe only 5 players ever have won all four. Rory would be the 6th. Go Rory!!

Lengths of the course for the Masters at the start of each decade: 2010: 7,435 yards (6,799 m) 2000: 6,985 yards (6,387 m) 1990: 6,905 yards (6,314 m) 1980: 7,040 yards (6,437 m) 1970: 6,980 yards (6,383 m) 1960: 6,980 yards (6,383 m) 1950: 6,900 yards (6,309 m) 1940: 6,800 yards (6,218 m)[1] en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Masters_TournamentThey grew the course by 450 yds in the last decade as an answer to the technological improvements to balls, clubs, and shafts, allowing all golfers (even us choppers) to hit the ball further relative to previous equipment. Looked up how far the pros hit it in 1984. They were about 50 yards per drive behind today's pros. Technology!!!

There's no doubt length off the tee is a great advantage at Augusta. But, it's just as important to be able to hit high soft irons into the greens due to the severe slopes at Augusta. Jack could hit high fades. That said, if you can't putt, forget it.
Other great putters and shorter hitters who've won The Masters, Gary Player (3 wins), Larry Mize (caught lighting in a bottle-chipped in during playoff and took out Greg Norman-poor Greg), and Ben Crenshaw (2 wins). Crenshaw is considered one of the best putters of all-time.

www.golfchannel.com/article/golf-central-blog/reed-69-wont-be-wearing-red-if-he-makes-it-sunday/Patrick Reed, who has worn a red shirt and black pants on Sundays as an ode to Tiger Woods since his junior golf days, will instead go with a pink shirt on Sunday if he makes the cut. "...... Reed was asked if the decision to switch shirt colors was connected to Woods’ return to the Masters as a competitor for the first time since 2015, but he explained it was a decision by his sponsor Nike Golf. “They're doing a new thing where all the players stay in the same kind of story line,” Reed said. “All the players will either be in dark blue or gray, grayish black today and yesterday and then all of us will be in the same color tomorrow and Saturday and Sunday.” --------------------- Dumb. Yes, it is... Tiger while representing Nike, is having nothing to do with being a member of the "pink" team. He's wearing his traditional red and black on Sunday. Atta boy, Tiger. Reed, not as big a "name", in pink shirt. Imagine Nike money is big!!! No prob, Patrick, play well.

Reed looks stymied against tree trunk off 1st tee, full pink. Rory just about/maybe did shank it off 1st tee. Phil took triple from same spot earlier. Rory with just sliver of pink showing at collar. Corporate, bah humbug. Things very interesting after those two tee shots.

Rory's got a shot out/thru trees. Reed may break a club on follow thru.
