The whole thing was totally absurd. Guy hits over 90 HRs?!?!? What was in those baseballs?
That wasn't even baseball, I could barely watch any of it. Wish they would do away with the whole thing.
It will be interesting to see how Joc does the second half. He's the only reason I was watching though. Too bad Joc lost. I was rooting for him but the team should move him for relief pitching. I'd like to see more of Freese at 1st and Verdugo in LF now that Pollock is coming back. We have plenty of subs like Kike and Taylor. He'll probably welcome playing everyday someplace else.

And you GOTTA love Manfred sticking with the “bottom line” that nothing has been done to the baseballs.
Does he really believe true MLB lovers who have watched the game evolve into the circus it is now are going to buy that pile he’s shoveling?
Not this guy; not for a bloody second. Pitchers across the league are seeing their normal HR’s allowed in a season already here in early July.
And not just scrubs or mop-ups. League wide aces like Verlander, Ryu, Hamels, Scherzer, etc. They’re ALL getting lit up.
And it’s not like these guys all forgot how to pitch or are losing speed on their fastballs. It’s the baseballs themselves that are doing the damage.
I heard some of the so-called experts cite “new hitting instructions” and “launch angles” and “exit velocities” as reasoning behind so many balls leaving the yard.
I’m calling BS when I see it. If it looks like a duck . . .
