Can we move Pollock & his body cast if we take on enough salary?

I didn't think this was a questionable take after what he's done. I thought that's why they tried Joc at first. Him and Belli are starters. Joc is the is odd man out if Pollock by some miracle stays in the lineup, I would think.

Yeah I've wondered why for awhile now. Joc is chasing too much today.

It feels like the whole defense is doing a pratfall this inning (5th).

Dodgers' Alex Verdugo: Launches ninth homer
Rotowire 7H ago
Verdugo went 2-for-4 with a two-run home run and three runs scored in Friday's 13-9 loss to the Rockies.
Verdugo took Rockies starts Antonio Senzatela deep with a homer to center, extending the Dodgers' lead at the time to 5-2. The center fielder is hitting .305/.355/.504 with nine homers, 36 RBI and 31 runs scored in 79 games this year. He's also added four stolen bases. Over his last 10 games, he's only been held without a hit once, hitting .349 (15-for-43) with four homers and nine runs scored.

@dodgerinsider
Alex Verdugo is now hitting .354 against left-handed pitchers. That's the second highest lefty vs. lefty average in the Majors.

Pollock: Goes hitless in third rehab game Rotowire 4H ago Pollock (elbow) went 0-for-3 with a strikeout while playing five innings in center field Sunday in his rehab game with High-A Rancho Cucamonga. Pollock remains hitless across nine at-bats through the first three games of his rehab assignment, but the Dodgers won't put too much stock in his minor-league results. Instead, the fact that Pollock has incurred no setbacks with his right elbow thus far during the assignment is the more significant development. He'll appear in one more game with Rancho Cucamonga this week before returning from the 60-day injured list when the Dodgers begin their second-half schedule Friday in Boston. Pollock should immediately take over as the Dodgers' everyday center fielder, which could result in Alex Verdugo losing out on regular action.

Let's hope A.J. is kept at Rancho for an extended rehab, just as he's had an extended rehab physically, to make sure he can stay healthy while demolishing low minor league pitching, rather than labor to regain his stroke In MLB games. Let's give him time to build his confidence rather than rush him back. It'd be great to see A.J. rake at Rancho before coming up, so he's on top of his formidable game, from the moment he arrives. GO DODGERS!

GO DODGERS! Unfortunately, that’s not going to happen - not with what they are paying him. He wasn’t exactly raking when he went down and for all the touting of his defensive skills, I never really saw him do anything above or beyond what Verdugo has provided. Alex will probably move to left as long as he keeps hitting and the combo of Hernandez & Taylor will get their starts in both the infield and outfield when players need a day off. If Joc doesn’t show signs of improving at 1B, I look for Freese to pretty much man the position most of the second half, with Mad Max moving over there from time to time to get Kiké and / or Chris into games. And that kinda leaves Joc as the “odd man out” and possible trade bait for bullpen help. Kinda sucks, but that’s the way I see it. Joc has improved, but he’s never going to be a high .200’s hitter and we need that out of every day starters in the positions he can play. I’d much prefer they give Seager some additional time off. We all know how tricky hamstrings can be (see Puig, Kemp) and we’re going to need his defense and bat a LOT more in October than July and August. We’ve seen the results of guys coming back too soon from this type of injury and they are never favourable. I’d rather see Pollack back on the IL in a week or two (always a possibility with his history) than Seager. GO DODGERS!!!

An outfield of Verdugo/Pollack/Bellinger is a very strong outfield. I see why people might be down on Pollock but I'm going to stick with my pony. I liked the signing and think he will contribute when it's all said and done. I wouldn't have a problem moving Joc for relief and part of the reason him playing 1st might be to make him more attractive to teams. I want to see more of Freese at 1st with Muncy at 2nd and Kike and Taylor subbing everywhere like you said.
