This is a sad day when a Dodger mainstay like Kenley Jansen is booed. Does he let it affect him in that he opts out at the end of the year? Because no one else is going to give him that kind of money. I don’t see any chance in the world he opts out and if he continues down this ugly road he’s been on for the better part of two seasons, LA’s only hope is going to be to try to dump him on some REALLY desperate team while eating a good deal of his 2020 (and ‘21?) salaries - but what else is new? I can’t really complain about this current ownership and management because we have been contenders each and every year since their takeover from McDoufus. But DAMN - they certainly have wasted a TON of money. Just glad it wasn’t some of mine, other than the $10 Dodger dogs, $15 beers, $35 hat & $100 + warm up jersey I dropped at last year’s WS. I guess maybe it WAS some of mine, now that I think about it! 😝😝😝 GO DODGERS!!! On the plus side, Bellinger & Muncy have 75 homeruns & 187 RBI's. They make a combined $1,180,000. Add in Will Smith ($274,576) & it's now 87 homeruns & 218 RBI's for $1,454,576. Now toss in Walker Buehler ($570,000), Alex Verdugo ($560,000) & Matt Beaty ($415,244) & it evens out. No one was madder at the Kelly signing than me. But the Dodgers have a way of evening things out. All key contributors. Altogether those six guys earn a shade under 3 million dollars. Where would we be without them?

Where would we be without them? Probably hovering around .500 with the rest of the NL West slugs fighting for the title or a possible wildcard. I highly doubt we’d be twenty games up and counting our “magic number” yet. GO DODGERS!!!

Mad Max is definitely the best pickup since Turner.

Muncy proved his breakout '18 was no fluke
Dodgers' slugger set many career highs in All-Star
By Ken Gurnick @kengurnick November 5, 2019
LOS ANGELES -- Max Muncy came off the scrap heap to slug 35 homers in 2018 and the skeptics said, "Nice, but do it again."
So, he did. Muncy also upped his RBIs by nearly 20 in 2019, made his first All-Star appearance and was one of the bats in the Dodgers' lineup that didn’t disappear in the National League Division Series defeat to the Nationals.
He improved his defense enough to be interchangeable at first base and second base, but also appeared in 35 games at third base as the primary backup for Justin Turner.
In short, Muncy showed in '19 that his '18 was no fluke.
What went right? In addition to duplicating the 35 homers, the 29-year-old Muncy set career highs in games played (141), runs scored (101), hits (122), doubles (22), RBIs (98), walks (90) and stolen bases (4). He slugged a two-run homer in the Dodgers’ Game 5 NLDS elimination by the Nationals. And he famously told Madison Bumgarner “to go get it out of the ocean” when the infuriated Giants pitcher screamed at Muncy not to watch his splash homer sail into McCovey Cove at Oracle Park.
“There is definitely a little more satisfaction because coming into this year, all I heard people talking about was, ‘Oh, teams are going to make the adjustment. You’re not going to be able to do what you did last year,’” Muncy told Dodgers Insider. “Why can’t it work on both sides? Why can’t hitters make the adjustment? It kind of aggravated me a little bit to hear all these people saying all these things. I wanted to go out and prove I can still be a very productive player that I was [in 2018].”
What went wrong? Not much. He was consistently productive against right-handed and left-handed pitching, even though his batting average dipped in the second half, especially when he rushed back from a fractured right wrist.
2020 outlook Now that he’s done it twice, Muncy no longer must prove he can produce. He’ll be expected to. With his power and plate discipline, Muncy will be an everyday presence in the lineup. He’ll probably play primarily at first base, but he could slide over to second depending on Gavin Lux’s role.

I like what Muncy brings, especially at his financial number, but I will give him the benefit of the doubt that his second half was due to coming back from injury because .225/ 13 HR/ 38 RBI are not going to cut it from a middle of the order bat.

Not all together but better than each one of them if compared.

I kinda think him playing with that broken bone injury early on messed him up and he’s just not been able to get that swing he had prior to it back. I believe it was in his hand, wrist - maybe finger(s) - whatever it was, he kept playing with it and perhaps changed his swing to accommodate for the pain. He’s done pretty well for us in previous Octobers - maybe he can regain that magic when we need it most. GO DODGERS!!!

He said he wasn't used to it. Also hitting lower in the order and not having Turner to protect him. Could be the injury and a lot of different things. Hopefully he reverts back next year.

He had only 26 plate appearances batting first this year and actually did really well in that spot in the past. That’s a really stupid, uninformed comment you made. Look it up first instead of making up crazy theories that can be proven to be untrue. It’s really easy to verify your opinion before posting. Do your homework!!

Do your homework!! 2020: .150 BA/ .346 OB batting 1st Career: .216 BA/ .383 OB batting 1st He's hit and gotten on base better THIS year and for his CAREER hitting somewhere other than 1st go look. You really are a fucking angry little troll when wrong. But whatever I don't care about you one bit. Glad you are not in my life on a daily basis. The poison.

A .383 OBP is actually very good. Thanks for proving my point. His numbers are also down at other spots on the lineup as well. Again, thanks for the support, angry man.
