Mark Ellis is a very solid and steady player. He is far from spectacular.....but brings intangibles to championship caliber clubs. He plays very...very good defense....a great veteran presence and from all accounts a great teammate.
Spring training has not even started......and the Dodgers already miss him.
1. Guerrero not only is LEARNING to play 2nd base......he may not even be ready for the majors!
2.Our alternatives are: Chone Figgens, Dee Gordan, and Miguel Rojas- OUCH!
3. On MLB Network Colletti said money was an issue with Ellis. Let me get this straight.....Dodgers can offer Tanaka 100 million.....but have no money for Ellis?
4. To add insult to injury.....the Cardinals picked up Ellis right away.
2nd base is going to be a gapping hole. This was a stupid move by Colletti
