Cheap bastards!! With 26 starts, no way in this world he gets another four to reach 30 and another $1.5 mil. Better to keep him at $250 k for every 10 innings pitched is going to be their philosophy. Did McCourt sneak back into the organization while we weren’t looking? Or jack the rents on his parking lot? Inquiring minds want and need to know . . . GO DODGERS!!! I don't think they would do that. It's not worth it if the other payers react negatively. Really, Maeda has been the weak link in our rotation most of the year. It's why I said he would probably be dealt this winter. Do you keep feeding him innings when he isn't that good? I'm always in favor of moving someone when their value is up and early before it's too late. I'd be cool with moving Maeda but we're also going to lose Hill and Ryu I believe at the end of the season. That would open up 3 spots. I don't know if the team is ready to go with all the rooks in Gonsolin, May, and Urias. To me Urias is still a rook experience wise. If so I'd like to throw Ferguson's hat in the pot as well. He may have a decent career. It'll be a fun off- season as far as roster construction goes, can't wait.

Yimi Garcia now up to 15 homers allowed in 57.0 innings. He trails only Kershaw, Maeda, & Buehler. All (until very recently) starters. He's tied with Ryu. I was going to post about this but you put it up first, good eye. Yimi had so much potential in my eyes but guy is stinking it up via the long ball.

Just think if he pitched 200 innings he would be going at a pace of giving up 53 homeruns. That's scary.

Pretty obvious that whatever pitch that is that keeps landing in the bleachers is being sat on by batters just licking their lips waiting for it to be thrown. Might be time to drop it from his repertoire because it ain’t working. GO DODGERS!!!

Nine of the homers have come against his fourseamer. I think we have a winner.

Baez nails down the win. I'm really starting to like that guy. No ego. Anything for the team.

Baez nails down the win. I'm really starting to like that guy. No ego. Anything for the team. Small sampling, to be sure. But he’s certainly looked better in the ninth than the Vulture. He’s attacking hitters and not getting into long counts and multiple foul balls. KJ should take note and hopefully Doc is watching. His continual insistence that Jansen is and will continue to be the closer is going to look pretty absurd if Baez continues to pitch like this and Kenley continues to suck every other outing. GO DODGERS!!!

Well if that's what you think then you're wrong. He's way past that point as he's had postseason success just last year.
You say really stupid things sometimes. I'm sure you will still argue that idiotic point though.
smh...

LOL, you are a moron. Why aren't I surprised. Urias pitched in relief and just like K- Rod had success even though very young. But, please tell us about Urias' extensive starting experience. 2016-- 77.0 IP 2017-- 23.1 IP 2018-- 4.0 IP

Long night for the pen tonight. Kersh can’t even get an out in the fifth. That 25 pitch first inning didn’t help matters and then a twelve pitch walk to Pillar was all she wrote.
Flopo in with two on and no outs. Nothing good can come out of this.
GO DODGERS!!!

If I'm Friedman, this winter I approach Kenley & tell him we're pursuing a closer, but still value him as a Dodger. You'll probably be used in the seventh inning of most games. Baez has really come on strong for us. I have the utmost respect for you & that's why I'm delivering this message personally.
What can he say?

Opting out is going to cost him millions as I don’t see any team paying him more or even close to what he’s already signed for in LA. He can pout and posture all he wants, but unless he suddenly turns things around these next few weeks, which I still don’t see happening, his role as primary closer is going to have to be reassigned. Maybe Honey can work with him in the off season on a new pitch or two. Or maybe he can take a cue from Kersh (last nights start not included) a reinvent himself. Otherwise, the Vulture is going to have to accept the role the Dodgers feel he will be most productive for the TEAM, not just for Kenley. GO DODGERS!!!

As a manager, I used to like painting people in corners. Not to be mean. Actually a lot of times it was to help them. I could have fired thieves & derelicts. I used what I knew to make them feel obligated to me. Make them better employees. Take the garbage that was sent my way & get way more out of them than anyone else had. Oftentimes they had just been mishandled & or misunderstood. "How is Rolando working out for you?" "Fine. Why do you ask?" "Nothing." (How does he do it!). (By telling him they weren't the problem. You were.). Kenley isn't a garbage person (although that statement about not seeing a reason for his role to change still stings). But he sure isn't an elite pitcher anymore. If he can't turn that around he needs to accept the new reality. Friedman can do that just by following that simple formula. I'm SURE Andrew is way smarter than me.
