I turn 60 on St. Patrick's Day. My brother said he would never reach 40. He died at age 39. I said I would never reach 50. Here I am 10 years later. I'm donating my liver to science fiction.
Anyone else upcoming?

Anyone else upcoming? Not for awhile - but I’ve already surpassed my own expectations as at 24, pretty much told everyone I was about “halfway home”. I was playing in bands four or five nights a week on top of a real nine to five job, partying HEAVILY 24 / 7, whoring around - the usual rock star lifestyle. 57 coming up this September. Life is good. GO DODGERS!!!

Tessa already teasing me. My responses... "Eh? Speak up girly. Can't hear you over my arteries hardening." "Just remembering the first horseless carriage Dad got. A Model-T it was. The way it scared Old Bessie. Bessie was our milking cow. Bumping along that dirt road was such a thrill. Sometimes we went in excess of 30 mph. Later they put asphalt on the road & cars zoomed along at 40 mph. Times were so much simpler. Listening to the Jack Benny Show on radio. Getting calls from friends miles away on a t-e-l-e-p-h-o-n-e. What will they think of next? (Wild old man cackle...)."

Happy birthday, Mom. Wherever you are. I'll always love you.
