Soot has taken to running in again. He's stubborn. I took months to get rid of his fleas the last time. Now I lead him back out with a plate of food. Fleas are a bitch. We had our Siamese for about a year before getting Axl from a friend. He was a single kitten & was born in a barn / shed. Lived and weaned in this same space, so he came complete with fleas. Took us weeks to get them off him and out of our first townhouse. GO DODGERS!!! There were brief respites. Must have been when one generation was dying off. Then the eggs would hatch & it was worse than before. The first day back that Soot charged in, I picked a flea off myself. Then the next day too. HELL no.

There are at least two cats living under the house. I saw them this morning. A momma cat & one of her kittens. Couldn't quite make out what color she is. Like a dusty beige. Or was she just dusty? The kitten was black with very fluffy fur. I'm thinking that kitten is Soot's. No idea who these cats are supposed to belong to. I left some food out & they both ate. Then I put a plate next to the crawl space & they've left it alone. So far. I saw the baby peeking out. He or she is too young to be afraid of me. They learn fear.

The dusty cat showed up at my door. Sleet actually wanted to meet her. She went outside for the first time in a long while. The dusty cat ran back behind the house. I left some food outside the crawl space.
Soot shows up. Sleet wants back in.
"No! Not you little feller. Just her."
So I came back out with food for him. He hissed.
"Knock it off. No one is buying that guff, tough guy."
He shut up & ate.

The new cat is 'Sandy.' In keeping with my theme.
Both cats out back ate all their food. I feel bad for them. The momma cat must have had a home. She got turned out for having kittens? Glad she & at least one kitten got out before they could be taken to the pound. Reminds me of what Dad did with a cat I had a long time ago. They all wound up at the pound.

I'm afraid the little bitty black kitty might have fallen into Norman Bates' backyard. This guy undoubtedly tried to steal one of my cats before. What is the deal with people who don't look you in the eye? His mother looked worried. That same night my cat came running in & jumped on my chest, licking me.
I heard the little black kitty meowing this morning. When I would get near, he shut up. That's natural. He doesn't know me yet. Finally he kept meowing. I think he's in Norman's tool shed. What do I do? It's not MY cat. Just last year I blanketed the neighborhood with fliers about Snowball.
Is THIS how cat families get broken up?
I took Snowball to get her claws trimmed. She took a piece out of me. When I first got her, she wouldn't act like that. Anyone could handle her. She might have been used to it from the pound. But this is home now. 'Where do you think you're taking me? I wanna stay here with Sleet! Sleet - Help!' Sleet ducked under the bed. 'Oh, HELL no! You're on your own, bitch.'

Norman moved. I couldn't take it anymore & walked around the block. There's a seemingly normal couple in there. They said they knew. The cat is UNDER their tool shed & they can't get him out. I said if the opportunity presents itself to please put him on the wall. He'll find his way home to momma.

That cat is still meowing for help & it's driving me crazy(ier). The couple probably went to work. I wish I could send some food to it. Far as I know it hasn't eaten for at least a day.

Perhaps a little food trail back to your wall and it might pick up momma’s scent? Hope it’s not stuck on something under the shed! GO DODGERS!!!

Seven feet on their side. I can't lower anything down.

Did he get out? Yes. He was on top of the wall. He saw me & dove into the Vietnamese neighbors yard. Dammit! The lady behind me was involved too. Then the Vietnamese people came out. The Vietnamese guy was okay with me leaving a ladder & sheet for the kitty to crawl on. Good neighbors. Roberto & Brenda are the people whose tool shed this cat was under. It's their ladder I left out there for the kitty.

Sleet pooped herself on the way to the groomer. That's how scared she was. The guy handed me a diaper to put in the cat carrier after he cleaned her off. I was thinking - 'What the hell? OH!' It was his diaper.
I gave him $20.00. That was above & beyond.
