F’ing Mexicans around the corner having another one of their all day blowouts. Yakka, yakka, yakka music (?) blasting non-stop since three o’clock this afternoon. After midnight here now; just called the local Blue.
Couldn’t even go out and enjoy my own deck the entire day and have had to listen to this garbage thumping watching TV in my great room all afternoon and evening. Rudest MF’ers on earth.
GO DODGERS!!!

Lord. I'm getting old.
Was just talking to my brother. It seems that I have to repeat everything, both for his hearing (or lack thereof), & understanding. Just now I was opening a window because the fan had stopped working.
"Are you opening a window?"
"Yeah. The fan stopped working."
"Huh? The fan stopped working?"
"I said the fan stopped working!"
Did I sound like Uncle Charlie from My Three Sons?
"I say..."

So John wants me to take him back to Pico Rivera next week. I was glad he broached that subject so I wouldn't have to. He says he wants to go back to work driving trucks. He called his old employer & the woman who answered the phone said they had been looking for him. I had taken his phone away back in December when his step-daughter went through all his 'mony' & unceremoniously dumped him on my porch. At first I was leery about John returning to work. That he would fall back into the old lifestyle. But he's been watching me drink for over a week now. He's as ready as he'll ever be.
I warned him to not start giving all his money away again. This is a chance to start over. You'll be getting Social Security AND working. I especially told him to stay away from that fat bitch in Tucson.
"Judy?"
"That's the one."
"We're just friends now."
(I'm thinking they shouldn't even be that. One time John gave $70,000 to one of Judy's friends for home remodeling. Surely they cut that up after John left. That's just one instance.).
"Okay. You were friends before."
She's MARRIED for the love of God. John drives me to distraction with this stuff.

I scatter my savings about. I had forgotten about one bank. Tried to make a deposit last week & couldn't. It had been locked up. Inactive. I talked to the teller & a rep was supposed to call me to set up an appointment. The rep never called. I called them this morning. The rep just called back.
She tried talking over me. East Indian woman. I've never had this happen before. There were fans on. She said she couldn't hear. Okay. I'll move into another room. I had to shout it over her to be heard. She kept talking. Complaining about not being able to hear. The problem magically disappeared with me in another room.
She wanted my account info. Nope. Not over the phone. I'll tell a rep in person. We set up an appointment for early next week. The way she was talking sounded suspiciously like my money was gone. She said she couldn't access it without the account information, but it looks like it's gone - going by my name. What? It takes a minimum of 3 years for the state to take your money in California. This hasn't even been a single year. There's no way my money should be gone. After six months they can (& apparently WILL) freeze your account though. They BETTER have my money.
I have to remember to get an ATM card. I'm just a terrible shopaholic & hate those things. Better to have me spend it on myself than a bank steal it though.

My brother called this morning. I figured it would be to come get him again. There's no planning in this I'm aware of. He's winging it. But no. He now says he's moving to Arizona. Okay. I had taken $700.00 out of an account we set up together so he can receive direct deposit on his Social Security. I regularly take some out & put it in another account I opened in my name because of bill collectors on John's ass. He said he had asked me not to do that this time. I honestly don't remember that, but it's his money. I told him I would put it back tomorrow morning. He says he'll need it for his move to Tucson.
There is nothing but trouble waiting for him out there in purgatory. His 400 lb girlfriend lives there. Another one I suspect is a tweaker. He has a trucker buddy out there too. Maybe it's John's plan to move in with Rick. That would be good. The upshot for me though is I'm finally free. He's my brother & all. But this whole ordeal has been taxing, to say the least. He put absolutely no thought into his retirement. I put him into the hospital when no one else cared. I put him into rehab when people were taking advantage of his condition. I took him to the bank when his 400 lb girlfriend wouldn't mail him an ATM card to an account he had set up in Tucson. I canceled out that card so she couldn't use it. I got him a profit sharing check from his former employer when Lard Ass said she couldn't find that either. I canceled out the check she had. I housed John when no one else would. I moved him to Pico Rivera from Whittier when his son-in-law was sitting right there with his car sitting out front. What the hell? I communicated with his ex-wife (who I loathe) to find out how this all happened. Mom would be happy I did this for my brother.
Free at last! Free at last! Thank God almighty. Free at last!!

Just came from the pharmacy again. Some guy was standing right behind me. An Asian guy this time.
"Would you like to stand next to me?"
"Can I?"
The clerk interrupted.
"No. He can't do that."
"Yeah. That was kinda my whole point."
She finally got what I was talking about.
"Sir, you'll have to stand back by the pole."
He backed up, probably thinking "asshole." But really, what do you expect when you do things like that? Get off me.

Burned my left arm on my damn Hog Sunday. Rule #1 - if you’re going to put air in your rear tire after riding it even just down the street, make sure you’re wearing a long sleeve shirt (I was) that isn’t rolled up to your elbow (it was).
Started off looking fairly minor, but today looks completely gnarly with oozing and the first layer of scabbing now gone. About the size of a baseball. Time for more Neosporin.

Then they started to turn green. Get antibiotics. Neosporin is an antibiotic ointment. Been applying it since Sunday. Just scraped the two layers of skin off the bottom of the tailpipe. You’d think someone would have developed a device that would insulate and / or cool pipes quicker by now. GO DODGERS!!!
