www.mlb.com/dodgers/news/10-biggest-trades-in-dodgers-history/c-301045312That's quite a list. I would add... Tommy John December 2, 1971: Traded by the Chicago White Sox with Steve Huntz to the Los Angeles Dodgers for Dick Allen. Allen was VERY talented. He was also a cancer. The Dodgers won with Tommy John. Jimmy Wynn December 6, 1973: Traded by the Houston Astros to the Los Angeles Dodgers for David Culpepper (minors) and Claude Osteen. Osteen had been a mainstay on the Dodgers. They had plenty of pitching though. Wynn had one great season left in him & it brought us a pennant. Mike Marshall December 5, 1973: Traded by the Montreal Expos to the Los Angeles Dodgers for Willie Davis. Loved 3-Dog. Marshall had a record breaking season that will never be duplicated. He won the Cy Young Award & finished 3rd in MVP balloting. Wynn was fifth. Garvey won it. Burt Hooton May 2, 1975: Traded by the Chicago Cubs to the Los Angeles Dodgers for Eddie Solomon and Geoff Zahn. Happy won over 100 games for the Dodgers. Reggie Smith June 15, 1976: Traded by the St. Louis Cardinals to the Los Angeles Dodgers for Freddie Tisdale (minors), Bob Detherage and Joe Ferguson. Reggie was the best player on those 1977-78 pennant winning teams. Don Sutton said so. The Dodgers got Ferguson back anyway. Pedro Guerrero April 3, 1974: Traded by the Cleveland Indians to the Los Angeles Dodgers for Bruce Ellingsen. Needs no elaboration. Jerry Reuss April 7, 1979: Traded by the Pittsburgh Pirates to the Los Angeles Dodgers for Rick Rhoden. Loved Rhoden & he was a fine pitcher. Reuss was better though.

How about Paul Konerko and Dennis Reyes for Jeff Shaw?
Shaw was 9 - 17 in the three and a half years he wore blue, but he also saved 129 games in that same span.
Konerko went on to have a very good career, but I’m not sure LA really knew what to do with him position wise. Reyes didn’t do a whole lot after leaving.
I give the Dodgers and Tommy (who orchestrated the trade) a C+, maybe B- on this one as Shaw was one of the premier closers of that era.
GO DODGERS!!!

The worst trade the Dodgers never made! You might recall about a decade ago, that jerk Bill Plaschke wanted to trade Kershaw and Kemp for Johan Santana! I hate that mentality that we "need a proven great pitcher". how does a pitcher get to be great? By not having to deal with jerks like Plaschke! Kershaw is much better than Santana ever was and Kemp has had a very nice career, and how have the Dodgers and Twins done since that stupid trade never happened?

Used to tell everyone Shawn was a “cousin”. Can’t begin to come up with the number of local Cincy idiots that would tell me I “spelled the last name wrong” at games here when he was with the team.
Really? Did you notice I had a completely different NUMBER as well? Green wore 15; I always wore & continue to wear 6.
GO DODGERS!!!

Raul was on a one way ride to hell.
