truedodger & I were discussing the good old days of Frank & Jamie McCourt in the 'Hot Stove League' thread. I thought it deserved a thread of it's own. www.nytimes.com/2010/07/09/sports/baseball/09dodgers.htmlHe was paying Howard Sunkin (a shadowy mover & shaker with City Hall) with charitable contributions. Can't get much lower than that. I think Sunkin was instrumental in getting Frank the LA Marathon. Good thing those kids didn't suffer behind that, because we KNOW Frank wasn't paying him with other people's money for that.

We all love to hate McCourt, but he wasn't responsible for letting Beltre go, trading Piazza, trading Martinez. I wonder what he's been up to since causing the darkest days in Dodger history?
BTW, Happy Thanksgiving from Idaho Falls, ID! We're supposed to get our first snow today, and it's about 14* warmer than in recent mornings.

As much as I dislike the shyster we have to give it to him that he made out like a bandit and is filthy rich 🤔

If only Panic was here, we could all relive and enjoy his bizarre fascination with Jamie, who I think most of us agree looked like an old leather suede coat that was left out in the alternating sun and rain for a week or so.
Damn that dude was weird!
GO DODGERS!!!

I do kind of miss the Panic/Frank/ troll. And his homoerotic fixation on Ethier. What about that Phoenix real estate agent who snuck into Andre's house when it was for sale? That was a hilarious story. Bet he sniffed Andre's boxers.

That was a hilarious story. Bet he sniffed Andre's boxers. And Panic's alter ego, whose screen name escapes me, who bashed Ethier with "release him so no one has to see it!" every chance he got and would hijack threads. No one could stand him, so I wonder whatever became of them?

And Panic's alter ego, whose screen name escapes me, who bashed Ethier with "release him so no one has to see it!" every chance he got and would hijack threads. No one could stand him, so I wonder whatever became of them? Actually the Panicattack character was pretty funny. I would go through his threads about supposedly diverse subjects & count how many times he said "me," "I," "myself," "mine," etc. They were all inevitably about him. That was his shtick. A few posters thought because we argued I was reporting them. They lost posts. So did I. It must have been someone sick of the fighting reporting us. I didn't really care. My posts aren't monuments. As it turned out it's all gone anyway. The only one I reported with regularity was Dodgerwood. My mother died in 2009 & I returned to the MLB board. Right away DW starts in on my mother. He had read on another board that my mother had died. Okay. I put up with him calling my daughter a "fat retarded mulatto" & handled that in good spirits. He doesn't know my daughter. Anyone who has met her praises her looks & brains. This attack on my mother's memory seemed particularly low, however. I called MLB.com & got someone at Dodger Stadium. DW lost his account the very next day & cried I had reported him. Who? Me? No idea what you're talking about. Bet you don't talk about my mother again though. Eric was the real estate 'agent' & he was obnoxious. It might have been Century 21 in Phoenix he worked for. His father was the broker of the agency. Eric was more like a gofer in the office. He was a recovering drug addict. A friend of mine located a dating service he was using (Plenty of Fish) with the same screen name Eric used from the MLB board. Not real bright. We had a good laugh over that. He used to email a female poster. She told me the things he said. Forwarded them actually. Dude was OUT there. He was always waiting to ambush me. So his father's agency didn't get Andre's listing. Eric called the other agency & asked for a walk-through. He was taking all kinds of pictures. Basically invading Andre's privacy. I called & actually got ahold of Ethier's sports agent & told him he better check this out. Someone is stalking your client. All those pictures were taken down. One of the guys who left here was 100% convinced I was reporting him. No. I wanted his stuff to stay up. Especially the drunken tirades. They were hilarious. He got so worked up. His partner thought (on the rare occasions he DID think) the same thing. I recall him losing track of accounts & making a stupid comment with one, & then coming in to defend those remarks with his primary account. Problem was he was defending those remarks in the first person. He had gotten confused. The retired jailer from the Wasatch Mountains claimed anyone with more than one account should be automatically banned. He was working on about the seventh or eighth variation of the same screen name. I found old posts that proved he still had some of those older accounts. Yup. You're right. Anyone with more than one account should be immediately banned. There were some funny dialogues on the MLB board. One poster from another board said I had a prosecutorial style. I would take a post apart point by point. My daughter would agree. Whenever she would lie to me I would ask a series of seemingly unrelated questions until I found out exactly what really happened. Tessa got to the point of either not lying in the first place, or dodging my questions to avoid being exposed. I've mellowed a lot since then.

I recall Eric trying to convince us that he made 400K a year on real estate sales then Utah came in and tried to validate his claims. I know alot of real estate agents, most of them backed into the profession and they admit that any salary in the 6 figure range is highly unlikely and would require the sale of various high end homes on a weekly basis. You mean to tell me someone in Arizona would be making more money that someone in SoCal? Please!!!

He'd go on long tirades and just "talked too much", and got pretty boring. And I do remember that not very nice comment he supposedly made about your daughter. I don't remember it at all, but he was so opinionated, he'd intellectualize just about anything, and perhaps somehow he overestimated his intellegence and felt justifided saying that. I don't remember anything he said about your mommy. He and that lady from Louisiana went round and round also. (wonder what happened to her?) He was good talking baseball and should've stuck to that.

The “Prediction Master”! Claimed to have never missed calling a Presidential race since the time he was old enough to know what one was.
Then after the first debate between Romney and Obama posted and boasted that it was ALL OVER for Barrack and Mitt was going to give him the beatdown of the century.
OF COURSE, as Election Day grew nearer and it was clear to EVERYONE Obama was going to win, PM changed his mind and even went on to deny ever picking Romney.
I think I remember one week when he posted his perfect NFL picks AFTER the games had already been played.
We ALL knew he was full of himself. LOVED to use the phrase “non sequitar” even though I’m not sure he even knew what it meant.
GO DODGERS!!!
