The military. I'm currently watching a program on alleged misfits in the military. Female soldiers who have been raped. Veterans dismissed for drug use. Cut off from the benefits they were promised. One guy was really burned his daughter's college fund was taken away. Can't blame him. This isn't even counting gang members who join for the same benefits & to hone their homicidal skills on the street. I guess they're more worthy.
It's things like this that make me ashamed of our treatment of our soldiers, despite the chic stance of saluting them in public. Invisible disabilities are the worst. You are & aren't really sick. You aren't truly sick if it's time to take care of you. He / she is truly sick if you're interviewing a job candidate or he's moving in next-door to you.

Well, for what it's worth, I went to a military school in 6th and 7th grade and I can tell you, they do play favorites. If there was a conflict between two boys and one had more stripes than the other, guess who was believed every time? And the faculty was allowed to hit and kick us. Of course, today they do time for that, but back in the day, they had carte blanche. It's probably much the same in the few military schools left and in the actual military. If your superior does you wrong or falsely accuses you, you're screwed, with nothing to do about it.

It isn't much to go on, but the movies & television programs I've seen about military justice makes their judicial system look like kangaroo courts. You can't talk to him like that. He's your superior officer. Which has nothing to do with him or her possibly committing a crime.
