I realize a Dodger-Yankee world series has always been great, but the Yanks are 8 games better this year, so it would be a lopsided WS. Even more so against the Red Sox who won 108 games.
Two reasons I'm pulling for the Indians: their record was only a half game lower than ours, and we could get revenge for the 1920 WS, when the Indians beat the Brooklyn Robins 5 games to 2. We could also get revenge against the Red Sox who, when called the Pilgrims, beat the Robins in the 1916 WS, when a big lefty named Babe Ruth beat the Robins in one game. If only we had the record we had last year, a WS against the Red Sox would be very appropo.

I remember it like it was yesterday. Seriously, who can ever get enough of beating the Yankees? They walloped the Dodgers in 1941, 47, 49, 52, 53, 56, 77, & 78. That trumps one series at the dawn of Prohibition. This is like the Lakers & Celtics.

I would absolutely LOVE to see this as it would allow me to make a short trip up I-71 and see my first World Series game live and in person. Houston looked pretty good yesterday though and will likely knock Cleveland out early. Seriously considering making a trip up to Milwaukee next week if they take out the Rox. Since we haven’t made it to any of the Dodger / Red games the last three years here in Cincy, our “baseball entertainment” fund has a pretty decent balance. GO DODGERS!!!

None of that means a thing right now. Many wild cards with inferior records have won the WS. Many teams without the best record for the year have won. To think that that regular season wins matter in the playoffs is just simply ridiculous. Dont care who who we play, let's just get there and win. 👍
