I like taking those quizzes on the internet. Just scored 25 out of 30 on Johnny Carson. Reminded me how much I looked forward to his show.
His opening monologue invariably stunk. That was part of the charm. Watching him fidget as one joke after another bombed. He was still far more entertaining that any other host. I've seen funnier guys. None could charm his guests like Johnny though. They would tell him things they wouldn't normally say to anyone else.
He & Ed McMahon were buzzed half the time. That wasn't coffee in those cups.
Craig Ferguson could make me roll with laughter & he got the hottest chicks imaginable. But his interviews were more like an opportunity to display his quick wit than an actual insight into his guests.
We miss you Johnny.

I didn’t discover Ferguson until the last couple of years, unfortunately. I loved his opening sequences with the hand puppets (especially the crude bunny), Pantomime Horse, etc. But there wasn’t anything much funnier than Geoff the Skeleton speaking as Morgan Freeman. I laughed ‘til I cried at that. Miss him, Johnny and Dave.
GO DODGERS!!!

Hot!
That was me in the original post. Maybe Ray's restructuring clocked me out.
