Dodgers' Rich Hill: Throws with finger uncovered
by RotoWire Staff | RotoWire
Hill (finger) played catch without tape on the middle finger of his pitching hand Friday, Bill Plunkett of The Orange County Register reports.
After throwing without any medical tapped wrapped around his blister, Hill hopes to throw a bullpen Saturday also without the tape. If he's able to progress to pitching to hitters with the finger uncovered, he may be able to return faster than initially thought.

We need him to be back to his regular self soon!!! Hard to believe we've lost four starting pitchers & are still competitive.

Hard to believe we've lost four starting pitchers & are still competitive. Totally, gonna need the young guys to carry us. Great so far... Yeah, great so far. This might be wishful thinking, but this season is shaping up as one in which the rotation that started the season has been decimated as we all know, but gradually the kids are coming up to the rescue, and we haven't even traded for a starter. With Beuhler, Stripling, now Santana (who settled down after his rocky first inning), and soon, Urias. If they keep pitching the way they have been, with Hill and Wood of all pitchers to mentor them, this season could truly be one for the books, even more than last year. No way we'll win 104 games, but our win total could well be in the 90s, and go all the way. It's still far from too late for us. BTW, I was at work when Alexander left the game. Did he get hurt too, who'd make the 4th player DL'd in the past week? Now, we need to draft primarily pitchers on Monday to replenish our farm.

Roberts probably just did not want to push his luck.

Right, I don't think there was any injury... That was the impression I got. Alexander hasn't exactlly been lights out for us.
