The Phillies are now 30-23 / .566 & in 3rd place in the NL East, 1.5 games behind the Washington Nationals. The Nats have won 6 in a row. Philadelphia is 11-14 on the road. So far they're dropped 2 of 3 to the Dodgers at Dodger Stadium.
The Dodgers won again last night. This time by a score of 8-2. They were led by the amazing Mr. Matt Kemp, & sudden ace pitching star Ross Stripling. Matt had his 14th double & hit his 7th homerun. He's now batting .345-7-30 / .372 / .554 / .926. Matt Muncy also hit his 7th homerun. Stripling pitched 7.0 innings, allowed just 1 run, 4 hits, 2 walks & recorded 9 more strikeouts. His record is 3-1 / 1.68 ERA & 1.14 WHIP. 59 K's in 48.1 innings. The Dodgers have won 10 of their last 13 games & are 26-29 / .473 & in 3rd place in the NL West, still 3.5 games behind the Colorado Rockies. 1.5 games behind the 2nd place Arizona Diamondbacks. The Dodgers are definitely playing the best ball of any other NL West team right now. They've scored more runs than anyone else in the division, & only the Dbacks have allowed less. Their run differential is +24. The Dbacks are at +11. No one else is in the black. The Giants are at a mind boggling -49. The Padres...who cares?

This will be Kershaw’s first start in a month after battling biceps tendinitis that may or may not have been the cause of decreased velocity. He’s said he’s made mechanical adjustments during the rehab.
