Its crazy how good he got all of a sudden. He was mediocre and sometimes down right stunk. Now hes the ace for the moment. Im not going to assume this is the Strip we'll have from here on out. Wood was good last year and so far stinks this year. Pitchers change then some stay somewhat solid every year. If this is how hes going to pitch great, but id bet its somewhere in the middle. We will take it for now because its been very needed at this point in the season.good to see it.

June 16, 2018 3:51 am Dodgers' Ross Stripling: Wins sixth straight by RotoWire Staff | RotoWire Stripling (6-1) got the win against the Giants on Friday, giving up two earned runs on four hits over 6.1 innings, striking out six and walking none as the Dodgers won 3-2. The right-hander continues to dominate, as he racked up a sixth straight victory with his latest stellar effort. He's fully earned his 6-1 record, as he's posting absurd numbers to the tune of a microscopic 1.76 ERA and a 1.01 WHIP through 66.1 innings. Perhaps most impressively, he's demonstrating impeccable command, as Stripling has posted a phenomenal 57:4 K:BB since May 6. He'll look to continue his lights-out ways in his next start, which will see him take the mound in a road matchup against the Cubs on Wednesday. Strip has been incredible. He's making a serious case for the All Star Game. This year's Alex Wood...

There was a glimmer of that guy over the weekend against the Gnats. Let’s see if he can follow up on that over his next few starts. GO DODGERS!!!

Pitching another gem, but no offensive support against Lester. 84 pitches thru six. Let’s see if we can pick up a few here in the seventh.
GO DODGERS!!!

Another 6.0 innings with 7 strikeouts & no walks. That's 67 K's & 4 BB's since the beginning of May. He has a 1.99 ERA.

June 21, 2018 2:25 am Dodgers' Ross Stripling: Fans seven in Wednesday's loss by RotoWire Staff | RotoWire Stripling (6-2) took the loss Wednesday, allowing three runs on eight hits over six innings while striking out seven as the Dodgers fell 4-0 to the Cubs.
While the right-hander lost his first game since April 30, Stripling did deliver his third straight quality start and sixth in his last seven outings as he continues to stabilize a Dodgers rotation that's been gutted by injuries this season. He'll carry a sterling 1.99 ERA into his next start Tuesday at home in a rematch with the Cubs.

Lester vs. Stripling tomorrow night. 😳 God help Lester. If the Redlegs can sweep the baby bears, we should be able to as well. Although we did get swept by Cincy at the Ravine, we are a MUCH better team now and I’m looking forward to some payback here in Cin City come September. GO DODGERS!!!

As the saying goes, baseball is a funny game. By what logic do the Reds, then the worst team in the NL, sweep us four straight in our park? And also, we beat the Nats, then a hot team, six out of seven for the season? And the other day, the Royals, whose pitching ranks dead last, shut out the mighty Yanks? That's one of the many things that, in my opinion, ranks baseball far higher than any other team sport. So many variables to consider. For a perfect example, in '76, the Tampa Bay Bucs went 0-16, and no one in his right mind would bet on the Bucs to beat the Steelers! I don't know if they played the Steelers, but all one had to do was compare the teams stats head to head. Not that simple in baseball!

I don't know if they played the Steelers, but all one had to do was compare the teams stats head to head. Not that simple in baseball! I’m with ya’ 100%, 78. I’ve been a fan of baseball as long as I can remember (which is growing much shorter every year!). My grandpa took me to my first game at old Crosley Field and I was hooked. Started playing when I was five and admittedly wasn’t very good. But I tried hard, practiced a lot and kept playing and within a few years improved significantly. By high school, I was one of the best on our team. On any given night, any bad team can beat any really good team and that unpredictability is one of the things I love about the game. I’ve bet on Verlander three times this year against teams he SHOULD have smoked. He’s 0 - 3 on those bets (including yesterday). Guess I won’t be betting on him for the rest of the year. I think we move into first by the weekend and pretty much ride that wave right into the postseason and hopefully our first title in 30 years! That would be sweet! GO DODGERS!!!
