Los Angeles Dodgers @ Miami Marlins
Wednesday, May 16, 4:10 PM PT , Marlins Park
TV: SportsNet LA, SNLA Spanish
Radio: AM 570 LA Sports, KTNQ 1020
Walker Buehler, RHP
The biggest difference in Buehler from last September as a reliever to this year as a starter is his walk ratio: from 7.7 every nine innings to 2.9.
Caleb Smith, LHP
Smith has struck out at least five in four straight starts, upping his season total to 53. In those four outings, Smith has given up four runs in 24 innings with 31 strikeouts. Still, he is dealing with some tough luck as he is 2-2 in that stretch.

May 16, 2018 11:33 am Dodgers' Adam Liberatore: Returns from ankle issue by RotoWire Staff | RotoWire Liberatore (ankle) gave up one run on one hit while recording just one out in Tuesday's game against the Marlins.
He was unavailable for three days with an ankle injury but was brought in to begin the bottom of the seventh inning and promptly gave up a double to Yadiel Rivera before getting J.B. Shuck out and being relieved by JT Chargois. Liberatore has a 3.38 ERA, 1.25 WHIP and eight strikeouts in eight innings this season.

May 16, 2018 2:22 am Dodgers' Cody Bellinger: Cranks sixth homer by RotoWire Staff | RotoWire Bellinger went 1-for-4 with a solo home run in Tuesday's loss to Miami.
Six home runs is still well off last year's 39-homer pace, but Bellinger only required one game in between his previous blast and Tuesday's long ball (seven games was previous shortest drought this year). If the he can get his current 10.9 HR/FB ratio even half way to last year's 25.2 percent mark, then his owners will begin to see some of that tremendous power potential, as none of his other metrics are drastically off from last year's marks.

May 16, 2018 2:05 am Dodgers' Yasiel Puig: Goes deep again by RotoWire Staff | RotoWire Puig went 1-for-2 with a pair of walks and a solo home run in Tuesday's 4-2 loss to the Marlins.
It was Puig's second homer in as many games after failing to go deep in his previous 28 contests. The 27-year-old has been batting eighth since returning from the disabled list May 9, possibly in an effort to recreate his eight-hole magic from last season following a slow start at the plate. While it appears to have worked in the interim, manager Dave Roberts may have to consider moving his slugging outfielder back up in the order in an effort to spark what has been an underperforming Dodger offense.

May 15, 2018 11:22 pm Dodgers' Alex Wood: Suffers tough-luck loss versus Marlins by RotoWire Staff | RotoWire Wood (0-4) allowed two runs (one earned) on nine hits with no walks and five strikeouts while taking the loss Tuesday against the Marlins.
Wood dealt with baserunners on a consistent basis, but he got ahead on 17 of 25 batters and induced 10 groundball outs to help his cause. He was only scored upon via an error in the first inning and a sacrifice fly in the fourth. Unfortunately, Wood received little run support yet again and is still in search of his first victory. The search is scheduled to continue Sunday against the Nationals.

May 16, 2018 2:14 pm Marlins' Caleb Smith: Start bumped back to Thursday by RotoWire Staff | RotoWire Smith will now start Thursday against the Dodgers rather than Wednesday, Clark Spencer of the Miami Herald reports.
No reason has been given yet for the change of plans. Elieser Hernandez will instead start Wednesday, making his first career big-league start.

Yeah. Sounds better to me than Muncy in LF and Joc in CF... a bit of a shortage of OFers right now.

Already trailing. We've got to stop falling behind early. This team has shown it doesn't do well playing catch up.
