It got really depressing watching the Lakers during the Jim Buss era. I think he was mildly retarded. That was the one blind spot the great Jerry Buss had. He might have even viewed his own daughter as 'just' a female. He wanted his son to run the personnel side of the Lakers.
Although not a good team yet, the Lakers have solid pieces in place to build on now.

The Lakers have been fun to watch this season (up until the last few games). Injuries have finally caught up to them and unless we sign two superstars in the offseason, than I hated the trade of Clarkson/Nance. I.T. is damaged goods and I hope to God they let him walk. The focus should be on re-signing Randle (matching any offer he gets) and trying to sign one superstar. Unless they somehow unload Deng (perhaps by attaching the Cle draft pick we got), then we could get two stars and re-sign Randle. That would be the home run off-season! The worst case scenario would be to let Randle walk for nothing while failing to sign two stars.
I know one thing- the Lakers are in much better shape than anytime in the last four years.

Unfortunately Mitch got the wrong end of that deal! JimmyB will be forever responsible for Kupchak's fate.

www.nba.com/games/20180328/DALLAL#/boxscoreGood victory last night. Lopez has turned it on as of late. He struck me as soft. He always scored before though. Julius Randle has become a beast. You just can't say enough about Kyle Kuzma. He's been better than Lonzo Ball. Same for Brandon Ingram. I predict 38 wins from this team.

Will we ever have a Dodger, Laker, Ram Trifecta winning year?

GREAT win against the Spurs tonight. Kuzma, Pope & Frye were animals.
34-44 now. They would have to win their last four games to reach the 38 I projected.

Will we ever have a Dodger, Laker, Ram Trifecta winning year? Could happen next year. The Rams loaded up and they are going for it! The Dodgers should be a contender and the Lakers could sign LeBron and George and be contenders immediately. That would be epic!

RAMS are looking well stocked for next year and that new stadium over in Hollywood Park - Inglewood, that thing is gonna be massive with a built in shopping center. There has been a lot of talk, LeBron for hire, I guess Cleveland will go back to hating him again, if the Lakers snatch him up and if Paul George can come back home to LA, you can just about guarantee a final! And I'll give the Kings some love too, and hope they can recapture the years 2012 and 14!

Jeanie seems to have the smarts, persuasion, and toughness to be the boss while Jim is boss by default. Lakers look to be better and better going forward. Tough spot in that they may want Lebron but if they wait too long he might chose a different team and that could mean losing Randle as well. If George comes then what happens to Ingram who looks to be developing quite nicely.

The Rams (notwithstanding yesterday's performance against the Bears) have emerged as one of the best teams in the league. The Dodgers made the World Series again. The Lakers seemed to have turned a corner with the signing of LeBron James & the relegation of Lonzo to a supporting role.
