nice catch kid. forget the tagup, no prob. Yeah, gotta take the out when you can at this stage of the game......who knows? The guy could have possibly hit a 3 run homer on the next pitch. It's tricky sometimes. While you don't want the run to score, you have to get outs. I remember Ethier getting criticized for catching a foul ball in Game 5 of the NLDS against the Mets and a run scored(that wound up being the run where they weren't covering third base.) Late in the game, you probably let the ball drop. But early-mid game, you have to record the out. |
