That's encouraging. We really need guys like him to step up now. We have 2 position players playing in the right position right now out of 8

Have to admit I had pretty much given up on Joc. He's been on fire though. He had 1 homerun through the end of May. He has 6 this month & it's only the 10th. In June his line is .435-6-8 / .435 / 1.348. Just 2 strikeouts in 23 plate appearances. 9 of his 10 hits have gone for extra bases. Whatever you're doing keep it up, Jacques.

Joc numbers
2015: SO/PA 29% Hr/AB 5.4%
2016: 27% 6.2%
2017: 21% 4.0%
2018: 14.5% 5.2%
1. He hardly ever faces a lefty anymore. That's wise.
2. Maybe the "new swing" is finally working....

June 13, 2018 7:30 am Dodgers' Joc Pederson: Three extra-base hits by RotoWire Staff | RotoWire Pederson went 3-for-4 with a home run and two doubles in Tuesday's win over the Rangers.
Pederson's two-run blast in the second inning was part of an early barrage against starter Bartolo Colon, who the Dodgers tagged for eight runs in under four innings. The 26-year-old has been on an absolutely absurd tear in June, slashing .481/.481/.1.444 with seven home runs, five doubles, 10 RBI and 11 runs scored in just nine games (seven starts).

.314-9-12 / .375 / .941 in 56 plate appearances in June. On the year he's hitting righthanders to the tune of .290-10-28 / .376 / .606 in 178 PA's. .115-0-2 / .143 / .154 in 28 PA's versus southpaws. He's a very productive platoon player. VERY.

no question, he's been a nice surprise in his role...

And our unlikely Mr. October keeps it up. Joc's career regular season line is .228 / .339 / .456 in 1,865 plate appearances. It's .254 / .354 / .549 in 71 career postseason plate appearances. 6 doubles & 5 homeruns in his 11 hits.

Joc vs. righties is just tremendous. Obviously analytics and matchups matter nowadays, thank God we don't have to hear anymore that they don't.
