April 24, 2018 3:50 am Marlins' Jarlin Garcia: Brilliant again in no-decision by RotoWire Staff | RotoWire Garcia allowed one run on four hits and a walk with seven strikeouts through six innings but was stuck with a no-decision Monday against the Dodgers. Garcia remains white-hot, a lone bright spot on what has been an unfortunate Marlins club in 2018. He has now thrown at least five innings and allowed one run or fewer in each of his past four starts. Garcia's slider in particular was nasty Monday, as he drew six whiffs with it on just 23 offerings. Garcia owns a nasty 1.00 ERA and will look to keep his brilliant season going Sunday in Miami against the Rockies. Share: Twitter Facebook

April 24, 2018 4:02 am Dodgers' Josh Fields: Picks up save with Jansen resting by RotoWire Staff | RotoWire Fields gave up a hit but worked a scoreless ninth for his first save Monday against the Marlins. Kenley Jansen worked both games this weekend, leaving him unavailable for Monday's series opener. Fields has been excellent this season, with just one run allowed, and he has now worked six straight scoreless innings to lower his ERA to 0.82. Expect him to be first in line for save opportunities whenever Jansen needs rest. Share: Twitter Facebook
April 24, 2018 3:40 am Dodgers' Walker Buehler: Throws five scoreless in debut by RotoWire Staff | RotoWire Buehler tossed five shutout innings and allowed just four hits and three walks while striking out five in a no-decision Monday against the Marlins. Buehler made his major league debut in place of the injured Rich Hill (finger) and did not disappoint. His fastball was clocked as high as 101.3 MPH, but Buehler didn't overwhelm the Marlins by inducing swings and misses -- Miami whiffed just four times against 89 pitches from Buehler. But he did draw eight ground balls as the Marlins weren't able to draw enough hard contact to get any rallies going. Buehler's time in the majors may be short-lived, as Hill isn't expected to be out for long, but the rookie righty is under consideration to start one game of Los Angeles's doubleheader Saturday against San Francisco. Those are some crazy numbers. All those strikeouts and still all those hits.

Maeda has a 3.77 ERA. His WHIP is 1.744 WHIP.
His FIP is 1.09, a product of giving up no HRs and striking out 15 batters per 9 IP...

That Makes sense, especially for small samples. It's totally unreliable in this case.

Could really use some production out of third base. I believe we have the worst numbers from the third base position in the league. Obviously it was going to be down with Turner out, but it needs to improve.

Even when Turner comes back, its gonna take a while for jt to get back to mid season form. how long is anyone's guess; and to make matters worst Truner god hit on a joint and their problematical and prone to more problems rather than a straight bone!

Exactly. This injury is very problematic.

He gets hit so much that I worry about him taking another shot on it.

He gets hit so much that I worry about him taking another shot on it. And what you just said, is another hurdle that old JT has to jump, and that is worrying about getting hit there, and if he does, he'll short circuit himself at the plate and be total inert at the bat, albeit with good reason which is totally understandable. Hitting is tough enough and mind can't be preoccupied with getting hit again when your trying to hit a baseball, that hardest thing to do in any sport!. Also, it has finished many of a career, early a few come to mind: Ellis Valentine - hit in the jaw, Tony Conigliaro - black eye fractured socket, Mickey Cochrane - crack his skull, they were never the same after getting hit, albeit in face and head.

Could say the same about Jason Heyward. Has never been the same since taking that pitch off the jaw.

Yeah, good catch, he did get hit, and didn't Giancarlo Stanton get hit also, but he seems to be okay!

Ok, let’s see if Kenta can get on a role tonight and go maybe 6 or 7 innings 👍
