Kenley's not all the way back yet. He unleashed a few nice cutters in the save he had the other night, but some of his pitches were still pretty flat. You'll know when Kenley is back because he'll start striking out the side on multiple occasions.

not to worry, the dodgers just called up Daniel Hudson, Hudson didn’t allow a hit nor a run in his five relief appearances with Triple-A Oklahoma City, with five strikeouts and four walks in 4⅔ innings. He last pitched on Friday.
The 31-year-old right-hander signed a minor league deal with the Dodgers on April 2. He is making $5.5 million in 2018 in the final season of a two-year, $11 million contract, though the Rays (and the Pirates, who traded him to Tampa Bay) are on the hook for all but a pro-rated share of the $545,000 major league minimum salary, roughly $466,310 the rest of the way.

I think Kenley looks heavy/out of shape/non-athletic. He's stiff on the mound. Get him some heat and run him. LOL!!!

But who is in the 80s? And who says they will be in the 80s anytime soon? The point is that even if you don't rely on blowing batters away, speed matters. It's not necessarily the be all and end all, but it does matter and a drop in velocity can be a concern. Or not. Sometimes it might not be a concern....

June 20, 2018 9:17 am Dodgers' Kenley Jansen: Converts 18th save by RotoWire Staff | RotoWire Jansen struck out a batter over a clean inning en route to his 18th save of the season in a 4-3 win over the Cubs on Tuesday.
Jansen closed out the first game of a doubleheader, and he was seen warming up in Game 2, although he wasn't used in the extra-inning loss. The 30-year-old endured what seemed to be early-season fatigue following last season's World Series loss, and now owns a 2.41 ERA and 0.92 WHIP over 33.2 innings. Jansen's strikeout rate (9.0 K/9) hasn't fully recovered, but that's the only criticism left in what looks to be another dominant campaign from the dominant closer.
