Seems like Red Adams had a project every year. Burt Hooton was one I'll always remember.

Happy Hooton is one of my favorites ever.... a great Dodger. He was a wreck when Adams got him though. He had that incident even years later where he got blown off the mound in a playoff game. Happy grew into the role. That was some staff we had back then. |

Hooton had a career Dodger ERA of 3.14. He is one of the greatest Dodger pitchers there ever were.
