So naturally with all the Floyd and BLM business of late we see a resurgence of our boy Colin. How the NFL “owes” him a spot, blah, blah, blah. Didn’t he get around $20 MIL from the NFL to “go away”?
That’s not good enough, the players and pontiffs say. Look - the truth of the matter is Kapernick would STILL be in the NFL if he was even half the player he seems to think he is.
The problem is he isn’t. The dude is a hack that had one and a half good seasons and that was IT! If you are a decent player, the NFL wants you. The owners don’t care if you’re Mussolini - if you can ball, you’re welcome.
They let a convicted dog killer back in the league, countless spouse abusers, armed robbers, drug takers and dealers, rapists and let’s not forget accessory to murder Ray Lewis play and didn’t / don’t lose a moment of sleep in doing so.
Why? Because these felons win games, put butts in the seats and continue to build the owners and the league wealth.
The only thing Colin brings to the table is a Sideshow Bob distraction that will only infuriate more fans than attract. And that ain’t good for their bank accounts, mansions, private jets and yachts.
He couldn’t even land a job with either of the short lived AAF or reborn XFL this past year. Nobody is breaking down the door to sign a never was, never will be.
I can guarantee that if some team DOES cave and sign this clown, they’ll regret it. The NFL is already on thin ice as it is and if they begin allowing full teams to kneel or “skip” the National Anthem, it’s going to hurt them more than me.
I can certainly find better things to do with my Sundays (and Mondays and Thursdays) and I’m betting the same is true for a lot of those that fill their stadiums weekly.
