Chiefs' Nick Bolton: Seven tackles Week 1 Rotowire 59 mins ago Bolton had seven tackles (three solo) and one pass defensed in Thursday's 27-20 win over the Ravens.
Bolton was limited to eight regular-season appearances by injuries in 2023, but he's among the NFL's best linebackers when healthy, as evidenced by his 180-tackle campaign in 2022. He typically isn't much of a factor in coverage, having posted exactly three passes defensed in each of the previous three regular seasons.
Chiefs' Leo Chenal: Starts season with seven tackles Rotowire 1 hr ago Chenal had seven tackles (three solo), including one tackle for loss, and two passes defensed in Thursday's 27-20 win over the Ravens.
Chenal posted a well-rounded performance in the regular-season opener. He got attention from trainers after some friendly fire from a teammate on a tackle attempt, but Chenal was able to stay in the game. The linebacker has extra time to recover from any lingering effects before the Chiefs host the Bengals in Week 2.
Chiefs' Justin Reid: Racks up nine tackles Week 1 Rotowire 2 hrs ago Reid tallied nine tackles (eight solo) during Thursday's 27-20 win over the Ravens.
Reid played 100 percent of defensive snaps Week 1, finishing as Kansas City's second-leading tackler behind Jaylen Watson. Coming off a career 2023 season, Reid will look to continue building off his momentum Week 2 versus the Bengals.
Chiefs' Jaylen Watson: Leads team in tackles Week 1 Rotowire 2 hrs ago Watson notched 11 tackles (seven solo) and one pass defensed during Thursday's 27-20 win over the Ravens.
Watson played 96 percent of defensive snaps versus the Ravens on Thursday, effectively starting over Joshua Williams. If Watson has truly earned the starting job across from Trent McDuffie at cornerback, as is reflected on Kansas City's depth chart for Week 1, he'll warrant consideration in IDP formats heading into a Week 2 matchup against the Bengals. It's possible, though, that Williams is simply being eased back into action after having missed much of the preseason due to a hamstring issue.
Chiefs' Noah Gray: Makes three grabs in Week 1 win Rotowire 3 hrs ago Gray secured all three of his targets for 37 yards during Thursday's 27-20 win over the Ravens.
Gray outperformed star tight end Travis Kelce, who had three grabs for 34 yards despite drawing one more target, during Kansas City's season opener. The 2021 fifth-round pick, who signed a three-year extension just prior to Thursday's game, played 54 percent of offensive snaps compared to Kelce's 89 percent, so he remains relegated to backup duties heading into a Week 2 matchup against the Bengals. Still, if Gray can continue looking solid in two-TE sets, he may emerge as a viable fantasy option in leagues that require multiple starting tight ends.
Chiefs' JuJu Smith-Schuster: Can't bring in only target Rotowire 3 hrs ago Smith-Schuster failed to secure his only target during Thursday's 27-20 win over the Ravens.
Smith-Schuster's lone look from Patrick Mahomes would've been a 20-plus yard touchdown had the veteran wideout been able to complete the catch, and he didn't see another opportunity after that second quarter target. His 12 offensive snaps ranked just above Skyy Moore (10 snaps) on the wide receiver depth chart. If Marquise Brown (shoulder) isn't ready to return Week 2 versus the Bengals, Smith-Schuster will get another opportunity to work as Kansas City's No. 4 wideout.
Chiefs' Justin Watson: Hauls in lone target Week 1 Rotowire 3 hrs ago Watson secured his only target for 25 yards during Thursday's 27-20 win over the Ravens.
Watson played 52 percent of offensive snaps versus Baltimore in Week 1, working as the Chiefs' clear No. 3 receiver behind Rashee Rice (78 percent) and Xavier Worthy (63 percent). That involvement will dip once starter Marquise Brown (shoulder) returns from injury, but if he remains sidelined Week 2 versus Cincinnati, Watson will have another opportunity to capitalize on an increased snap share.
Chiefs' Carson Steele: Rushes twice in NFL debut Rotowire 3 hrs ago Steele logged two carries for three yards during Thursday's 27-20 win over the Ravens.
Steele also returned one kickoff for 28 yards. The undrafted rookie played just five offensive snaps Week 1 despite Clyde Edwards-Helaire (illness) not being available behind starter Isaiah Pacheco, but there's room for Steele's involvement to grow as he better acclimates to the Chiefs' offense. Edwards-Helaire won't be eligible to come off the reserve/non-football injury list until at least Week 5, so Steele will get another opportunity to handle a key depth role Week 2 versus the Bengals.
Chiefs' Samaje Perine: Sparsely plays in Kansas City debut Rotowire 4 hrs ago Perine secured one of two targets for 10 yards during Thursday's 27-20 win over the Ravens. He did not log a rushing attempt.
Perine, who signed with the Chiefs just over a week and a half ago, played eight offensive snaps in his team debut, an indication that he hasn't yet fully acclimated to coach Andy Reid's offensive scheme. Still, the one target Perine failed to haul in seemed like a hint of better things to come. If he'd secured that short dump-off from Patrick Mahomes in the third quarter, there was only open field standing between Perine and a touchdown. The pass-catching specialist will work to increase his involvement behind Isaiah Pacheco versus the Bengals in Week 2.
Chiefs' Harrison Butker: Nails both field goals vs. Ravens Rotowire 4 hrs ago Butker converted both of his field-goal attempts and all three of his extra-point tries during the Chiefs' 27-20 win over the Ravens on Thursday night.
Butker made the most of his scoring opportunities Week 1, with both of his field goals coming from just over 30 yards out. The Chiefs' offense displayed some regained explosiveness versus Baltimore, due in no part to a two-TD debut by rookie first-rounder Xavier Worthy, so Butker will remain a top fantasy asset at the kicker position heading into a Week 2 matchup against the Bengals.
Chiefs' Mecole Hardman: Works in return game Week 1 Rotowire 4 hrs ago Hardman returned one kickoff for 29 yards in the Chiefs' 27-20 win over the Ravens on Thursday night.
Hardman didn't play at all on offense, but he returned one kickoff and two punts (both fair catches). Barring injuries elsewhere on the wide receiver depth chart, Hardman lacks anything resembling a clear path to offensive playing time. He'll look to make a splash in the return game Week 2 versus the Bengals.
Chiefs' Skyy Moore: Fails to make an impact Week 1 Rotowire 4 hrs ago Moore played 10 offensive snaps (19 percent) but was not targeted in the Chiefs' 27-20 win over the Ravens on Thursday night.
Moore wasn't able to record any offensive statistics in Kansas City's season-opener. Rookie first-round pick Xavier Worthy logging a two-TD debut effectively curtails any lingering hope that Moore would manage a late breakout, especially once Marquise Brown (shoulder) manages to get healthy. With Rashee Rice, Worthy and Brown all available, Moore may not end up being active on gamedays.

Bills vs. Dolphins tonight. FUGLY game - as I expected. Tua with ANOTHER concussion. That was $53 mil annually well spent. Dude threw three interceptions prior to getting hurt. He’s simply NEVER going to be the “elite” QB they want him to be. Horrible pick by a horrible GM and even worse owner. Team will never be a contender as long as Ross continues to hire and pay incompetents. FIRE DAISY ROBERTS!!!

Another nail-biter, as the Chiefs beat the Bengals 26-25. It came right down to the end.
Travis Kelce might be on his last leg.

Mahomes throws another interception. What's going on with this guy? Is it not having Kelce as his go-to?

KC wins again. 22-17. Yawn...
Rice is a stud & they had a white boy in the backfield. Carson Steele. He was subbing for Pacheco. Defenses are going to have to watch him. He was running right through Atlanta's.

Phins with another ugly loss. Backup Thompson proving WHY he has always been a backup and then he ends up going down.
QB3 makes Skylar look like Marino. Gonna be another long season of disappointment.

I didn't even realize the Chiefs had signed Kareem Hunt. He's VERY talented. Carson Steele fumbled again & Reid was punishing him. But that might be it if Hunt lives up to his potential. That dude started his career like a house on fire. Then got involved in an Alex Verdugo type situation.
Chiefs win again. 17-10. Kelce looked like himself. Except for shaving his beard.

Dolphins win a hard fought game against New England, 15-10. VERY ugly W; New England basically gave it to them with double digit penalties for over 100 yards. Huntley is NOT an NFL caliber QB. If it wasn’t for their running game, Miami would have NO offense whatsoever. Sell the team, Ross. And take Grier and McDaniel with you. FIRE DAISY ROBERTS!!!

Amazing to see the twits on X and their “solution” to the Phins problems in “tanking” for Cam Ward.
I responded with “another running QB that may have a decent first season but then fade into obscurity like SO many running QB’s before him”.
One poster responded “he’s not a running QB - he’s a QB that can run”. Huh? Semantics, at best.
Unless your last name is Mahomes or Jackson, you’re very unlikely to succeed as a QB that can run in the NFL.
The defensive players are smarter, faster and schemes are quick to adapt at that level over most of the teams these guys play in college.
There have been WAY more failures than successes and Cam Ward will not be any different.
Look no further recently than Watson, Fields, Murray, Tagouailoa, Young. All were early first rounders predicted to be the “next big thing”.
With the exception of Fields, who seems to be rejuvenated under Mike Tomlin’s Steelers, all are floundering on mediocre to poor teams.
Young was finally benched for Andy Andy Dalton and Tua can’t run a play without getting a concussion.
And most, if not all, will never meet the expectations of their draft position, egos or ridiculously inflated salaries.
I say if Miami is going to tank, do it NEXT year (Tua or no Tua) for a PROVEN name and talent - MANNING.
FIRE DAISY ROBERTS!!!
