Dodger defense doing what it can to sabotage Ferris. Ferris escapes with only one run. Let’s see if LA can keep the O going. We’ve seen them jump out early like this and then go five or six without even another hit, let alone run. Bottom of the order is going to HAVE to step up for a change and keep the pressure off Ferris having to be perfect. GO DODGERS!!!

That's not exactly a Gold Glove in leftfield either.

Hopefully Phillips' glitch was just a lack of adrenaline. Yeah - not exactly what LA needs or expects out of their back of the bullpen ace. Luckily they were up by a half dozen plus and those three late runs didn’t effect the final W. Scooter continues to impress with three K’s to end the game. GO DODGERS!!!

Dodgers' Miguel Rojas: Steals base, logs three hits Rotowire 19 MINS AGO Rojas went 3-for-4 with an RBI single, an RBI double and a stolen base during Thursday's 11-7 win over the Pirates.
Rojas generated three or more hits for the second time this season, with the other coming May 29 against the Mets. He also swiped his third bag of the campaign, taking second base off Bailey Falter and Henry Davis in the first inning. Overall, Rojas is slashing .287/.343/.447 with a 7.8 percent K rate.
Dodgers' Mookie Betts: Reaches four times, homers Rotowire 25 MINS AGO Betts went 2-for-4 with a three-run home run and an additional run during Thursday's 11-7 win over the Pirates.
Betts' three-run blast capped off a six-run fifth inning for the Dodgers and plated Miguel Vargas and Austin Barnes. The shortstop also drew a pair of walks. Prior to Thursday's outburst, Betts had been 1-for-24 (.042) across six games. Despite the minor cold spell, Betts owns the ninth-best OPS in MLB at .923 with 10 homers and nine stolen bases.
Dodgers' Walker Buehler: Struggles in abbreviated start Rotowire 39 MINS AGO Buehler didn't factor into the decision Thursday against Pittsburgh, allowing four runs (three earned) on seven hits and a walk over three innings. He struck out three.
After needing 78 pitches to get through three frames, Buehler didn't come out for the fourth, marking the 29-year-old's shortest start of 2024. He surrendered a two-run home run to Nick Gonzales in the third inning, Buehler's seventh long ball allowed in 28.0 innings. Buehler's been shaky in his first action since undergoing Tommy John Surgery in 2022, yielding three runs in all but one of his starts this season and owning a 4.82 ERA. He's lined up for a home start against the Rangers on Wednesday.

Dodgers' Teoscar Hernandez: Homers in three-hit game Thursday Rotowire 13 MINS AGO Hernandez went 3-for-5 with a solo home run, a double and three total runs scored in an 11-7 victory versus the Pirates on Thursday.
Hernandez broke a 4-4 tie with a solo blast in the fifth inning, and Los Angeles never trailed again. The long ball snapped a 10-game stretch without a homer for the veteran outfielder, and after a hot start to the season, he's gone deep just twice over his past 23 contests. However, Hernandez still ranks second on the Dodgers with 13 homers and 39 RBI overall.
Dodgers' Freddie Freeman: Slugs homer Thursday Rotowire 18 MINS AGO Freeman went 1-for-4 with a three-run home run in Thursday's 11-7 win over Pittsburgh.
Freeman helped Los Angeles' offense get off to a fast start with his three-run blast in the first inning. The long ball extended his modest hitting streak to five games, during which he has slashed .389/.455/.889 with two homers, five RBI, five runs and two steals. Freeman has four home runs over his past 15 contests, matching the amount of homers he hit across his initial 49 games of the campaign.

Dodgers' Clayton Kershaw: Touches 90 mph in sim game Rotowire 34 MINS AGO Kershaw (shoulder) hit 90 mph during his two-inning simulated game Friday, Jack Harris of the Los Angeles Times reports.
Friday's session was the second simulated game for Kershaw. The velocity he showed is a good sign that the veteran southpaw is progressing well through his offseason shoulder surgery. Kershaw will throw another simulated game next week, though when he will begin a minor-league rehab stint remains to be seen.
Yankees await word on Juan Soto ahead of series vs. Dodgers Stats 2 HRS AGO Dodgers' Miguel Vargas: Swipes bag Thursday Rotowire 4 HRS AGO Vargas went 1-for-4 with a double, a walk, a stolen base and a run in Thursday's 11-7 victory versus Pittsburgh.
Vargas started in left field and batted eighth in the order. He hit safely in his fourth straight game with a fourth-inning double and also stole a base and scored after reaching on a fielder's choice in the fifth. Vargas has held his own with a .250/.318/.550 slash line, a homer, three doubles, three RBI, five runs and a steal over 22 plate appearances this season. He's currently on the short side of a platoon with Jason Heyward -- Vargas has started each of Los Angeles' past three games against a left-handed starter while sitting out the team's past four contests against a right-hander.

The Yankees announcers just said the last time the Yankees beat the Dodgers in the World Series was 1981. I think that's what he said. No they MET in the 1981 World Series. The Dodgers won.
