Thanks, scheduling dicks. Two cross country trips in a week. That’s a helluva lot of jet lag to recover from in a very short time. GO DODGERS!!!

Dodgers' Tyler Glasnow: Excellent again in hard-luck loss Rotowire 13 HRS AGO Glasnow (6-4) was stuck with the loss Tuesday, allowing one run on three hits and two walks while striking out nine over six innings.
Jack Suwinski's solo home run in the third inning was the lone tally against Glasnow, though it proved to be enough to leave him with the loss in a 1-0 shutout defeat. Still, it was another strong outing from the 30-year-old Glasnow, who now has eight or more strikeouts in seven of his last eight starts. His ERA is down to 2.93 on the year with a 0.90 WHIP and a league-leading 104 strikeouts through 13 starts (80 innings). Glasnow's currently lined up for an intriguing road matchup with the Yankees this weekend.

Glasnow's currently lined up for an intriguing road matchup with the Yankees this weekend. Dude gets absolutely ZERO run support from this powerhouse lineup. LA hasn’t scored a single run in his last five starts. He has become the new Kershaw. Last night, LA’s formidable five thru nine went a collective 1 - 18. That’s not only pathetic, it should be unacceptable. Overall, LA was 0 - 12 with RISP and left nine runners on base. Again - unacceptable. Sad thing is - this isn’t anything new. They’ve had these same issues for years, but have failed to address them. If the top three or four don’t hit, this team couldn’t score on a room full of horny porn stars. A hitting coach can only do so much; but LA continues to sign and play guys that are lifetime .200 hitters and expecting them to suddenly improve at this stage in their careers isn’t only absurd, it’s almost inevitably impossible. There’s a reason guys like CT3, Kiké, Teoscar, Heyward, etc. are readily available and signable for reasonable contracts. And that reason is, for the most part, they suck! And as good as our top four are, they simply cannot carry the entire team because they’ll start overthinking and overswinging knowing only they can produce runs. We all saw what happened the last two years in October and this team is headed straight for another early exit if they don’t correct that quagmire in their offense, or lack thereof. Their dedication to pitching is all well and good and the all too near glut of starters is a problem EVERY team would like to have. But that too can and eventually WILL backfire if the starters begin to lose confidence in the O and think that they have to throw shutouts each and every time they take the mound. I give LA a slight pass for the ridiculous scheduling these past two weeks. I’ve flown cross country and beyond hundreds of times and it never fails to screw me up. But then again, I’m a sixty plus old man who drinks and smokes too much, not a seasoned and in shape professional athlete that gets paid millions to play a kids game. I still maintain that Daisy and Fraudy are two of the biggest reasons for this team’s failures. LA has had one of, if not the strongest team on paper for close to a decade now with one half year title to show for it. Unfortunately, those two rely entirely too much on “other” paper, namely stats and analytics to put those teams in a position to win. I was never a fan of hiring Roberts. Nine years have not changed that opinion, division titles notwithstanding. GO DODGERS!!!

Dodgers' Enrique Hernandez: Sitting in second straight Rotowire 2 HRS AGO Hernandez is out of the lineup for Wednesday's game against the Pirates.
Since Max Muncy made his last start May 15 before landing on the injured list with an oblique strain, Hernandez has served as the Dodgers' primary option at the hot corner. However, after starting at third base in the first seven games of Muncy's absence, Hernandez's hold on an everyday role may be slipping. He'll be on the bench for the second day in a row, with Chris Taylor getting the nod at the hot corner Wednesday after Miguel Rojas occupied the position Tuesday. Hernandez's move to the bench comes while he's supplied just five hits in 37 at-bats (.135 average) over his last 13 games.

Paxton's magic has worn off. Well, we got more than we had any right to expect.

Paxton's magic has worn off. Well, we got more than we had any right to expect. Seven runs in less than two innings against another basically AAA teams. Amazing how bad this team plays against bad teams. I’m shocked they took two out of three from the Rockies. Can’t wait to see what they do this weekend in New York. I’m guessing it’s gonna get even uglier. GO DODGERS!!!

Ten runs and counting. Why do I even bother checking back in on this one?
How about moving Mookie back to his natural RF position so he can get back to concentrating on his AB instead of every ball hit his way that he misplays?
GO DODGERS!!!

Then Rojas becomes the everyday SS & Lux the everyday second baseman. Mookie has a .906 OPS. We're waiting on Muncy's .200 BA to come back & man third.

Dodgers' Will Smith: Getting breather Rotowire 1 HR AGO Smith is not in the lineup for Thursday's game in Pittsburgh.
Smith started the first two games of the series, going 3-for-7 with a double, a walk and an RBI. He will yield to Austin Barnes for the series finale as the Dodgers try to avoid a sweep.
Dodgers' Kyle Hurt: Approaching rehab assignment Rotowire 2 HRS AGO Hurt (shoulder) is slated to begin a rehab assignment with Triple-A Oklahoma City on Friday, David Vassegh of AM 570 LA Sports reports.
Hurt has been out since landing on the injured list April 20 due to right shoulder inflammation. He was eventually transferred to the 60-day injured list and isn't eligible to be activated until June 16. The right-hander will likely need to make several rehab appearances before he's deemed ready to return to the big club. He got into three games for the Dodgers prior to his injury, allowing one earned run while posting a 3:1 K:BB over 6.2 innings.
Dodgers' Clayton Kershaw: Slated for two-inning sim game Rotowire 2 HRS AGO Kershaw (shoulder) is expected to pitch a two-inning simulated game Friday, David Vassegh of AM 570 LA Sports reports.
Kershaw tossed one inning against live batters Saturday and appears to have come out of that session well given that he will next progress to throwing two simulated frames. Manager Dave Roberts said Sunday that the future Hall of Fame hurler is "way ahead of schedule," but the skipper also implied that Kershaw is likely still "about six weeks" away from being ready to join the big club, per Matthew Moreno of DodgerBlue.com. Kershaw himself has declined to establish a timeframe for his return from the 60-day injured list, though mid-July is looking like a reasonable expectation.
Dodgers' Freddie Freeman: Swipes bag in loss Rotowire 2 HRS AGO Freeman went 1-for-5 with a stolen base and a run against Pittsburgh in a loss Wednesday.
Freeman has been much less active on the basepaths this season -- he's attempted just four steals (with three successes) after going 23-for-24 last year. That 2023 performance was likely an aberration, as the 23 thefts were 10 more than his previous career-high mark. Freeman's other numbers are mostly down so far this season as well, but he's still been quite productive with a .294/.397/.476 slash line, seven homers, 17 doubles, 35 RBI and and 36 runs through 63 contests.
Dodgers' Jason Heyward: Laces three doubles Wednesday Rotowire 2 HRS AGO Heyward went 3-for-4 with three doubles and two runs in Wednesday's loss to the Pirates.
Heyward was responsible for all three of the Dodgers' two-baggers in the contest, and he came around to score following both of his final two hits. The veteran outfielder has been swinging a hot bat of late, slashing .500/.588/1.143 with four doubles, a triple, a home run, five runs, two RBI, a stolen base and a 3:2 BB:K over his past six contests. Heyward has played almost exclusively against right-handed pitching this season, notching just two plate appearances against southpaws.
Dodgers' Andy Pages: Lifts homer Wednesday Rotowire 3 HRS AGO Pages went 2-for-4 with a solo home run in a loss to Pittsburgh on Wednesday.
Pages hit one of Los Angeles' two homers off rookie phenom Paul Skenes, launching a solo shot in the fifth inning. It was the first homer for Pages over his past 13 games and his sixth overall this season. Despite the lack of power recently, the rookie outfielder has been swinging a hot bat, collecting four multi-hit efforts over his past seven contests and slashing .500/.522/.682 during that span.
Dodgers' Elieser Hernandez: Sent outright to Triple-A Rotowire 3 HRS AGO The Dodgers outrighted Hernandez to Triple-A Oklahoma City on Thursday after he cleared waivers, Eric Stephen of SBNation.com reports.
Hernandez was removed from the Dodgers' 30-man roster last week after he allowed nine earned runs across 9.2 innings of work. The 29-year-old remains in the organization, however, and is likely to re-enter Oklahoma City's rotation.
