Dodgers gonna get swept by basically a AAA team. Absolutely ZERO effort being shown by both the offense and defense.
Last time I drop a grand on these clowns for the weekend as long as Daisy and Fraudy remain in charge.
Pathetic is being too kind to this team.
GO DODGERS!!!

Five lousy hits for this “dangerous” lineup; Teo had two of the five. Bottom five in the order went 0 - 16 today and 1 - 14 last night.
Showtime was nearly invisible, going 2 - 13 with a triple. Freddie was swinging at anything and everything.
This team has more holes in it than blackbird lancashire.
Yes - it’s not even mid-season. But LA should not be losing five in a row to ANYONE, let alone perennial bottom feeders like AZ & the AAA Reds.
All the pitching in the world isn’t going to do them any good if the don’t start getting even an inkling of production from their lineup beyond the clean-up spot.
And it seems their shitshow is starting to affect the top four as they are EXPECTED to carry this team and are up there swinging for the fences every AB.
GO DODGERS!!!

But Dr. Dave saying Shohei is still experiencing hamstring problems, but it's not that big a deal, concerns me. When is Muncy's .200 batting average due back? Pahes might be Outman Part Deux.

But Dr. Dave saying Shohei is still experiencing hamstring problems, but it's not that big a deal, concerns me. When is Muncy's .200 batting average due back? Pahes might be Outman Part Deux. The thing is - this series did not seem like a slump. The Dodgers were literally outplayed by a bunch of no name, no veteran one or two years removed AAA Louisville Bats in every single aspect of the game. They were diving for balls, jumping up against and over the OF wall for catches, running HARD on every hit or ball hit to them. I saw two balls hit to Teo in LF that he simply stopped running on. One was a foul that could have ended an inning; the other was a single that fell two feet in front of him and ended up costing LA runs. I guarantee both would have been caught by the Reds LF. One of Greene’s major flaws is he gets in trouble with his pitch count. LA worked him the first couple of innings, but then swung at just about every other pitch he threw early in counts resulting in weak ground outs or pop ups. Not that LA has any success with the Reds bullpen all weekend. Diaz, who they smoked last week in LA & who had blown four or five saves in a row, naturally turned into Mariano Rivera and got saves last night and today. And the AB’s were simply pathetic. Freddy must have swung at every first pitch he saw. Mookie got on more than anyone, but I believe he may have only scored once or twice. LA looked like a team that was ten games under .500, not over. Just a complete lack of effort and energy and a high level of apathy. Anytime “doc” makes a diagnosis, it’s reason to take pause and worry. If Ohtani’s hamstring is still bothering him, why is he even in the lineup? Oh, that’s right - LA doesn’t HAVE anyone else that can come close to a 75% Oh. Beyond Will Smith, the team overall BA can’t be .200. And obliques can be as tricky as hammies. Max is supposedly throwing again, but one “over” throw or swing of the bat before he is 100% and he’s right back on the IL. Hoping LA gets well in NY, but they’re going to have to play a HELLUVA lot better than what I just watched these last three days. GO DODGERS!!!

Was just watching an interview with David Justice. He looks & sounds like Ice-T now. But I never hated on that guy. He was porking Halle Berry.
He was asked loaded questions that included why blacks are leaving baseball, & I honestly think he missed some key points. He talked about how MLB teams build facilities in places like the Dominican Republic, but not American cities. Why? Because they don't want to. The implication being MLB doesn't want American blacks. I don't think that's the case.
You can build a monster facility in the Dominican for about the same cost of building a little league baseball field in New York or Los Angeles. Then say you get some real talent out of them. Those players can be signed for pennies on the dollar. They don't go through a draft. They BELONG to you.
Also, when steroids took over the game, it slowed down. We got big plodding white guys. No. Not every white guy is slow. But where were the Lou Brocks, Rickey Hendersons, Maury Wills? Baseball devalued an asset. Manfred had to enlarge the bases & allow oven mitts to bring it back. Only two throws over to first base.
Economics & analytics have discouraged African-Americans from a sport they revolutionized.

Baseball devalued an asset. Manfred had to enlarge the bases & allow oven mitts to bring it back. Only two throws over to first base. Economics & analytics have discouraged African-Americans from a sport they revolutionized. And let’s face it - the MLB season is a LONG grinding one that starts in late February and goes thru October (if you’re on a decent team). That’s only a few months off a year during which MLB players still have to deal with staying in shape on a daily basis. The skill set to play the game is also on another level. Hitting a round object coming at 100 + mph and / or curving, dropping, rising - that ain’t easy. Fielding balls that are coming off bats at 110 - 120 mph isn’t a picnic either. Making accurate throws to an exact point - all requirements for the majors. That’s a LOT of nights in hotels, thousands of hours on jets, room service and bad buffets. It’s a job most of us would give our left nut for. But when there are alternatives, like the NBA & NFL, both of which have significantly less games, training camps and travel and can be played by anyone than can bounce, shoot or catch a ball, or block / keep one guy from getting to your guy, it’s easy to see why more blacks favour those two sports as opposed to MLB. I’m certainly not saying blacks are too lazy to play baseball. But it’s pretty much why there are very few playing in the NHL, which I think pretty much goes year round these days. And the salary differences are moot because not every MLB player is going to get the Ohtani payday that they could via the NBA or NFL. And with decent planning and financial advise, NBA & NFL players can check out in under a decade. By the time MLB players can retire, they might have 20 + years in the game including their time in the just as long and substantially lower paid minor leagues. Fewer games, significantly decreased skill sets and retiring in ones 30’s makes the NBA & NFL a simpler and obvious choice. GO DODGERS!!!

Hey guys, I"ve been taking a break from this forum. OK< our guys are slumping, no denying that. But personnel changes won't help, they just have to battle their way out of it. To get swept by the Commies after beating them 3 straight at home, scoring 2 runs total in the last 2 games, leaving RISP by the bunches this powerhouse team, is downright embarassing. It happens to every team every year. And the rotation as well as the pen have had struggles. Maybe getting rained out today is a big break this team needs right now.
Now shifting gears, tomorrow nite on the TNT channel, our old friend Yasiel Puig will be featured on Rich and Shameless. I'd never heard of that show till this morning when I was watching Mean Girl Murders on A&E and it was advertized. There's also an episode about Bret Favre which I'll also watch.

Dodgers' Bobby Miller: Set for another rehab outing Rotowire 1 HR AGO Miller (shoulder) will make his next minor-league rehab start Friday or Saturday and is scheduled to throw about four innings, Jack Harris of the Los Angeles Times reports.
Miller allowed three runs and threw 55 pitches over three frames in his first rehab outing Sunday with Single-A Rancho Cucamonga, and it's no surprise he'll require at least one more appearance in the minors before rejoining the Dodgers. The 24-year-old could be back in the big-league rotation as early as next week, but it's also possible he'll require a third rehab outing.
Dodgers' Evan Phillips: Tracking toward return on Friday Rotowire 2 HRS AGO Dodgers manager Dave Roberts said Tuesday that Phillips (hamstring) is on track for activation from the 15-day injured list Friday, David Vassegh of AM 570 LA Sports reports.
Phillips struck out two batters in a perfect inning in his first rehab appearance with Single-A Rancho Cucamonga on Sunday. He's slated for one rehab outing before rejoining the Dodgers for their weekend series at home against the Rockies, assuming all goes well. Upon activation, Phillips should immediately step back in as the Dodgers' closer.
Dodgers' Nick Ramirez: Serving as 27th man Tuesday Rotowire 4 HRS AGO The Dodgers recalled Ramirez from Triple-A Oklahoma City on Tuesday, Eric Stephen of SBNation.com reports.
Ramirez will serve as the 27th man for the Dodgers during their doubleheader against the Mets. The left-handed reliever has permitted four runs with a 3:5 K:BB over 9.1 innings during his time in the majors this season.
