Until Ohtani starts hitting, I'm concerned about that arm. I said it before they signed him. Batting may not put the strain of throwing does on an arm, but it still has to affect those abilities. I’m still waiting for the announcement they are shutting him down for another surgical procedure and we get another year of a $70 million IL member. GO DODGERS!!!

Dodgers' Mookie Betts: Belts homer No. 5 Rotowire 2 HRS AGO Betts went 2-for-5 with a solo home run and an additional run scored during Tuesday's win over the Giants.
Betts' bat continues to be one of the best in baseball, mashing his league-leading fifth home run of the campaign. He sits comfortably atop the league in hits (15) with the next closest players a full three hits behind and has 14 more total bases than any other player. While his ridiculous .500/.605/1.167 slash line is certain to regress at some point, fantasy managers should keep riding it out with the six-time All-Star.
Dodgers' Evan Phillips: Retires four for save No. 3 Rotowire 2 HRS AGO Phillips picked up the save Tuesday against San Francisco, yielding one hit and no walks over 1.1 scoreless frames. He struck out two.
Fantasy managers got an extended look at the Dodgers' closer Tuesday, with Phillips entering the game with two outs and two runners on in the eighth to get Los Angeles out of a jam. While he kept the Giants off the scoreboard in the one-run win, Phillips did surrender his first hit of the 2024 season via a Jung Hoo Lee single in the ninth. Overall, Phillips is propped up to be one of the most valuable closers in all of fantasy with a safe hold on the closing job for one of baseball's most talented teams.
Dodgers' Ryan Yarbrough: Grabs win in long relief Rotowire 2 HRS AGO Yarbrough (1-0) picked up the win Tuesday against the Giants, surrendering four runs on seven hits and a walk across 4.1 innings. He struck out one.
Yarbrough worked in behind Ryan Brasier, who opened the game with a scoreless first inning. While he was able to avoid a blow-up, Yarbrough let runners score in three separate innings, including a solo homer to Jorge Soler to open up the sixth frame. Yarbrough has been utilized as a multi-inning reliever twice since the Dodgers returned stateside, landing a win and a save in those outings. However, he owns an overall era of 4.00 with a poor 3:3 K:BB through nine innings.
Dodgers' Brusdar Graterol: Moves to 60-day IL Rotowire 17 HRS AGO The Dodgers transferred Graterol (shoulder) to the 60-day injured list Tuesday, Jack Harris of the Los Angeles Times reports.
Graterol's move to the 60-day IL clears a spot on the Dodgers' 40-man roster for Nick Ramirez, who was acquired from the Yankees on Tuesday. Graterol was cleared to throw off a mound Tuesday -- the first time he's done so since landing on the IL with right shoulder inflammation. The 25-year-old right-hander is now eligible to return beginning May 18, but it remains to be seen whether or not he'll be ready by then.
Dodgers' Nick Ramirez: Traded to Los Angeles Rotowire 17 HRS AGO Ramirez was traded from the Yankees to the Dodgers in return for cash considerations Tuesday.
Ramirez will head to Los Angeles after being designated for assignment by New York on Saturday. The 34-year-old appeared in 32 games with the Yankees in 2023, producing a 2.66 ERA and 1.23 WHIP with 28 punchouts over 40.2 innings. Alex Vesia is the Dodgers' only southpaw in their bullpen currently and if elevated to the major-league roster, Ramirez would provide the team with another left-hander.

Until Ohtani starts hitting, I'm concerned about that arm. He's gotten plenty of clutch hits already, just no homers yet

Dodgers' James Outman: On bench vs. lefty Rotowire 58 MINS AGO Outman is not in the lineup for Wednesday's game against the Giants.
Outman started the previous four games -- including one start against a southpaw -- but the young outfielder will sit Wednesday with lefty Kyle Harrison pitching for San Francisco. Enrique Hernandez will take over in center field and bat seventh.
Dodgers' Gavin Lux: Resting against southpaw Rotowire 1 HR AGO Lux isn't in the Dodgers' lineup for Wednesday's game against San Francisco.
The Giants will send out lefty Kyle Harrison to start Wednesday's contest, meaning the left-handed bat of Lux will retreat to the bench. Mookie Betts will shift to second base while Lux sits, allowing Miguel Rojas to start at shortstop and bat ninth.
Dodgers' Jason Heyward: Lands on injured list Rotowire 1 HR AGO The Dodgers placed Heyward on the 10-day injured list Wednesday with lower-back tightness, Fabian Ardaya of The Athletic reports.
Heyward's back has caused him to miss the Dodgers' last two games, and it will keep him out for at least another 10 days as he moves to the IL. Imaging on his back didn't reveal any significant damage, so an extended absence isn't expected at this time for the 34-year-old outfielder. The Dodgers claimed Taylor Trammell off waivers from the Mariners on Tuesday and added him to the active roster to serve as Heyward's replacement.
Dodgers' Walker Buehler: Making another rehab start Saturday Rotowire 4 HRS AGO Buehler (elbow) will make his second minor-league rehab appearance Saturday with Triple-A Oklahoma City, David Vassegh of AM 570 LA Sports reports.
Buehler had his first rehab outing with OKC on Sunday, tossing 54 pitches over 3.1 innings and allowing four runs (three earned) on three hits and two walks while striking out two batters. Though he was far from sharp in the appearance and was clocked at about 1.0 mph below his norm, the right-hander appears to have come out of the start without any setbacks. Buehler is expected to make four minor-league rehab outings in total before potentially joining the Dodgers' big-league rotation in mid-to-late April.
Dodgers' Shohei Ohtani: Continues throwing program Rotowire 4 HRS AGO Ohtani (elbow) has been throwing every other day, and he made 50 throws from approximately 60 feet on flat ground Monday, Bill Plunkett of The Orange County Register reports.
Ohtani was cleared to begin a throwing program in late March, and he's been engaging in an every-other-day program as he begins to build his arm back up following last September's Tommy John surgery. The two-way star won't pitch this season, but he's expected to be a part of the Dodgers' rotation next year, and he reportedly could see some time in the outfield or at first base later in the current campaign if the organization is comfortable with his rehab progress. Ohtani will stick to being the team's everyday DH in the meantime, though he's off to a slow start with a .242/.297/.333 slash line and no homers through 37 plate appearances.

Missed Ohtani's homer. Was it a blast? Midway up the right center bleachers - good arc, yet still only took a few seconds to get there. Think the graphic advised it left the bat at over 115 mph and traveled 430 + feet. So yeah - pretty decent shot. He looked pretty relieved rounding the bases. Chick that caught it ended up with a signed ball and bat, two caps and a jersey. She looked Latino, so that shit was probably listed on eBay before they got out of the parking lot. 😝😝😝 GO DODGERS!!!
