It's good to see Pedro Martinez seems to be over his grudge against the Dodgers. I wondered what was still lingering. O'Malley was gone. Fred Claire was unemployed. The only one left was Tommy Lasorda. He's the one Claire went to for advice.
A player as great as Martinez should have pleasant memories.

If it's any consolation, we burned through the pen. Yeah, Max gonna have to pitch a complete game tomorrow. Train wreck seems to be money in the eighth, not so much in the ninth. Don’t think this is the first game he’s lost in the ninth. So happy to see Daisy show Atlanta our ENTIRE PEN in the very first game. Can’t imagine they’ll stay this effective for six more games. Max, Ferris & Julio are going to have to give us at least seven each. Once again, Daisy proves to be more of a liability than asset. Not that any of us are surprised, least of not this poster. GO DODGERS!!! |

What a fucking BLAST by Riley. Gonsolin's rust might have shown itself there. What did Roberts expect, not letting him pitch for over two weeks? Gonzo allowed a couple of big drives that stayed in the park so yes, his rust showed. He needs to be the 4th starter but how effective can he be under the circumstances? Though we've won several of those bullpen games, they're awkward and those relievers might be needed the next nite and they might not be so sharp, having pitched the nite before. |
